When the game launched on switch i had it predownloaded. I made a clan and changed my name. Then when the split reset, my clan was deleted and my name was reset to driver. I am unable to create a clan, or change my name. This has been like this since the first split reset on the switch

It’s been an issue since the start of the game and most people know about it, but using a pro controller while having joycons detached messes up everything. I just lost 20 points in my because I wasn’t able to control my car for the first 30% of the race. That being said, please fix in the next update

For new user, when asked for age and gender (including setting up age and gender on child accounts) during initial setup, set the age over 18 since it will reflect the Switch users who already played that game. The workaround is archive/delete the software as well as saved data and re-download it.
About deleting the data: After deleting it, when launching game in online mode with Nintendo account attached, progress is not wiped out (including career, events and modes that are play online), except progression on Quick Race mode which is not include the syncing progression. The progress you made in Quick Race will be wiped and you have to start your timing again since it's an offline-enabled mode and there are no rewards involved.

@strong moth I get and respect that. This is only a workaround to the issue. We still have troubles replicating it, hence we cannot pinpoint the issue and fix it. This doesn't mean that we are giving up on trying to find the problem.

@covert crown @crystal plaza can you tell me how is going to solve the issue with camera settings and with analog input for left stick for steering? Camera is fixed on Steady and stick is like outputing 0 or max, nothing between. Driving with Steady Camera for new drivers may feel like there is input lag and the stick with which you can not steer or drift gently will ruin the feeling that you are getting better and newcomers can quickly lost intrest in A9.

- Some random vehicles on the track stops you sometimes like a wall. It's somehow randomly chosen. Some of them stops you, then others not.
- The ramps are kicking like they want. Sometimes they are working fine, but there is always somewhere one, that kicks you with half or very slow rotation. I do enter them the same way...

The bloom effect is blinding in Switch version. Did not experience it in PC version. If I am blinded I can not target nitro bottles and taking ramps precisly.
And some how the glow is also pretty strong. Look at that red glow. I have also noticed that partical effects plus collision makes my game laggy for a second. I can upload sample clips later.

This bloom effect (special glow effect in games) is also too strong for example then activating shockwave
For my eyes it seems to last like a second and lot can happend in one second in this game
The effects in this games are in high quality. Maybe even too high quality, because it causes lag then mixed with some collision detection and with other stuff.

So, I am not an expert, but have you test it on new Switch. New one's battery last twice as long, but battery is not twice as big. So there must be some extra restriction implemented, so the battery can last longer? Can there be a difference in perfomance in new and old NS?

@sudden zodiac Either Switch hasn't got to the game version where the nitro was buffed in the Elise or yours isn't maxxed out yet. I have a max Elise I use exclusively for D class MP races & events. If you run the car right, nitro will never shut off the entire race. (then again I'm on Win & a different game version than Nintendo currently)

It has a good nitro. Only problem is it caps out at 175mph with it on, and a lot of cars are faster than that without nitro. The AMG cruises above 200.

I've won 5 straight MP races with my Elise-- sometimes against higher top speed cars. You have to keep nitro going hot & heavy, get a couple shockwaves going to jump ahead (that works good when you are close to a better performing car & know their nitro is about to expire & can then jump ahead & gain that spot)
The biggest issue with both the E-Tense & Elise in MP races is since both have long nitros if you do it right, the other players will try to KD or 360 every E-Tense or Elise they see so you can't win.

@hollow nexus that sounds more like a connection problem, not a glitch. Same happens on Android, iOS & Win too. If the screen sits there for a period of time with the waiting for players before the countdown starts, that is a connection issue you and/or other players are having connecting to that race after matchmaking has been selected.

It's the right joycon that is drifting.

I solve the problem by just redownloading the game and waiting for icons to show up again. Be sure to keep the local save data or you will risk losing local game progress.

I lose connection from the game, the connection loss is on my end but I'm able to reconnect fairly quickly but Everytime it's useless during any race that's single player like an event or career race. Either the game doesn't sync even after I'm connected again or the game just sends me to the main menu and I end up losing tickets and or fuel.

In the garage, when scrolling up from the bottom row of cars in A and S class, it goes directly to the inventory button instead of the top row of cars. E.g. Going from GT-R Nismo to Inventory instead of GT-R Nismo to Vulcan.
This doesn't happen in the other classes.

If you are experiencing the issue in which in-game event icons are stuck in loading, you can bypass it by clearing your cache. To do so, archive the game software and re-download it. Press the "+" button on the right side of your Nintendo Switch, select "Data Management" and "Archive Software". Next, select Asphalt 9: Legends and proceed to re-download the game. Let us know if this works for you!
In the meantime, rest assured that we are working on fixing the problem for good.

There is a problem with the joy cons, when playing manual during the game. At the time of starting the game, all normal but you put pause, because a quick problem arose. You remove the pause but it no longer responds to turn, the lever and the arrows but, when you return to pause during the game, if the menu movements react but when you return to the game, they no longer react. Eye: my control is fine, it has no fault, it does not turn off, they are already updated and well calibrated. So I don't know what the problem is. If mine or controls.

I wish 9 was more optimized for the Switch. Apart from the unstable framerate (especially noticeable while playing the Black Friday event w/ Lykan) I also often have problems with Error 0 and while closing the game - it either crashes or freezes the entire system so I have to do a hard reboot.

@glad mist we had this problem before. First, you need to make sure that the Parental Controls are disabled for your Nintendo Switch. Second, you can go ahead and try to archive the game and re-download it. See the last pinned post in this channel for the step by step workaround.

@last pewter it sounds like the right joy con is having slight drifts, I'm not sure it really is but that's a problem I'm having right now. I've been trying to ignore it by simply trying to move the right analog to an area where it resets to no movement, where it stops drifting, and I can literally be able to steer at times
The small drift I have is not noticeable in other switch titles, but for asphalt 9 what I don't get is why is the right analog input afftecting the left joycon input only in this game? The only use of it is the camera change and that's it?
The small drifting also affected me in menus, where I can also move through the menus with the right stick on the level selection on my career, but overall either disconnecting the right joycon and play single or cleaning up the bottom cap of the right stick fixes the problem temporarily for me

Aren't you supposed to have a full nitro bar if you get kd'd? I've gotten kd'd by AI's multiple times(and I have proof too) and I respawn in last place. The only thing is, I only get kd'd in daily events by AI. Not even in career. I always get kd'd or at least lose a few seconds due to the AI in the race in daily events where you have to beat a certain time. The only time this has happened in is the aventador event so far.

I don't know if it's been reported, but i have seen that changing the camera modes on any menu or during game play does not save that setting for the next race and defaults back to steady. I've only been playing on docked so not sure if handheld has the same issue.

I tested other games that require internet and have multiplayer such as Mario maker 2 and Rocket League and they were doing just fine. I also tried other modes like career and daily events and they work just fine as well

It tends to happen to me with my grandparents internet, when i play some MP race, it tends to disconnect me from the internet despite it works pretty fine (sometimes it shows the "Not syncronizing" error but then it dissapears, and sometimes the events & MP do not tend to load but then it goes fine), with my grandparents internet in games like Splatoon 2, it disconnects me from the lobby with the error "2618-0006" but that is not the topic. It also happens to me, similar case, man.

Happens in multiplayer if you hit the home button but seems to be happening randomly as well in mutliplayer and every other type of event. I know it's not my Switch because I don't have this problem with any other game.
2- Muting in club chat is messed up. Words like happened, leave, and have are not offensive and don't need to be muted. There are tons of words more than the ones I typed that are getting muted, including some of the names of club members which don't include offensive words.
3- There seems to really bad lag when a bunch of cops and racers are on screen at once. If you can optimize this somehow please do.

One more: The game will say 0/20 club members online and not update chat even when players are on occasionally. It can only be fixed by closing the game and re opening it. I figured this out because we were having a conversation and suddenly everyone stopped replying. Then I checked if anyone was online and it said 0/20. I reset the game and there were replies to our conversation and players were online. It happens all the time now. If this could be fixed it would be nice. Thanks!

Use a wired controller if you play in docked mode. I haven't had any issues with my wired Pokken Tournament controller.

If your Joy-Cons are having a problem with the sticks it may be because they are drifting. You can see if they are drifting by head to the Settings then Controllers and sensors then calibrate controller sticks. Press the one of the stick and see if it is moving on it’s ow if so that is your problem and you will need to set up a repair for it. I was having the same issue and then I found out it was simply because it was drifting so I sent it in and now it works just fine.

@prime dune I totally agree on this... I was playing a while ago and i was 2150 but was constantly matched with legend league players who were much higher and with better cars... Also somehow I pulled to the 3rd position and guess what it's a surprise 2nd lap, once it was in the second lap the other cars just over powered... I find the whole multiplayer system too lame... The point system sux the match making sux and looks like even these people at gameloft don't give a care about it...

I like the acceleration of the car but its get impossible when you have players from the legend league with car ranks of 3500 and more... They should never mix league races... Platinum should only race with platinum and legend with legends... Or they can bring out a better point system

There’s a super small percentage of people in legend. They can’t just race themselves. They have to be paired with lower ranks at times. It definitely tries to make sure the rank is as close as possible.

@keen talon this would be a good time to start practicing manual controls. They’re difficult at first but once you get the hang of it you’ll never want to go back
I only used TD on mobile and after coming to switch I never want to go back to TD lol. It took a while to get used to it, but it’s worth it 🙂

Hey anyone else experiencing the issue on the switch where it wont let you load the game due to an error? I have to transfer my data to my other switch and play on there whilst i re-download it on my lite for it to work again. Its since the latest update today and its annoying as i was trying to get more rep before the season ends :/

Hi I just found out Touch Drive was broken in the recent update. I don't use it personally, but my friend who loves the game can't enjoy it anymore. He had his arm amputated a few years back due to infection, and Touch Drive was a great way for him to really play at a competitive level with everyone else. I appreciate the developers making a driving mode for people with disabilities. Not every one is capable of playing in manual mode. When can we expect Touch drive mode to be fixed?

The acceleration problem was not intended and we are doing our best to fix it as soon as possible. However, due to Nintendo's submission process and the holidays they'll be having soon, we can only send a fix in an update or another hotfix, both of these taking time to get through Nintendo. It looks like if a Switch user has an account & has the automatic save & back up to the Cloud, it will allow them to go to another device, log in & resume the game where they left off. In the first post of mine, it sounds like if the device is lost or damaged beyond use, the data is saved on the physical device & the person is just out of luck resuming where they left off.

Auto-refuelling doesn't work for me. I wake up and my cars have only 2 races left. Some take more than 3 hours to refuel.
Is there a way to disable the KD animations? Looks like you can do it on phones. It's super distracting, I keep losing the races because I can't see what's ahead of me when the camera gets turned 180° every second.

The game crashes pretty often, when I play quick race. Complete crash, causing the game to shut down. Almost every 7-8 races.
There is also a sound bug, when I am on nitro for long periods of time. The sound of the nitro becomes dumped and so are the other effects.
Another one thing, that started to happen after the hot fix, is that opponent cars disappear at the start of the race. It's some animation bug. It happens only, when the car is slower than mine and stays behind me. It's like missing frames. Interesting is, that this occurs only with TD driver.

The touch drive issue causes some of my club members dropping the game. It has become a major problem which prevents new players from playing. The punishment for those who abuse TD function should never affect normal players during their normal races.
If this issue is a bug, please fix it ASAP. If not, please add an in-game bot-verification function to prevent the misuse of TD rather than nerf the TD function itself.
I do not use touch drive, but a healthy and sustainable community should never say no to those TD players. I really hope the community becomes greater and could attract more people to join in.
Also please fix the error when starting the game which make a lot of people annoying.

@wheat lodge Thank you for highlighting this issue, even though you don't use TD yourself. I wish more people in this community were like you, instead of just saying "learn to drive manual".
I am not good at racing games and without TD I cannot even make it past Silver League. But with TD, I finish all seasons in Plat/Legend, and I can complete most of the events with top 10-15% times.
TD has been a massive help for players like me, and because of TD I have invested 150+ hours and a lot of $$$ in this game.
I hope you fix the issue quick before a lot of the TD players lose interest and drop the game.
