@fringe sundial yep. If you cannot meet the maximum time allowance, the game will disqualify you & if the anti-cheat program built into the game flags you, you will immediately be disqualified from that race & more than likely soft banned & placed in CB.
There were some events in the past (I think it was in DS 1 with the Blue Rabbit), you had a specific time to beat and if you went over that time it flashed the big disqualified pop up on the screen.

So, i tried TD, u can't take the road i was describing here in TD unfortunately. Only possible in manual mode. Better avoid the 1st ramp on TD, take the 2nd, 360 and break to stop the rotation while landing, etc... But i think u know
