@drifting latch I reported a similar issue with ads not working. Cc said the Devs were aware and working on a fix. I keep getting an issue where it says my bandwidth is too low despite it being fine. I think there are a couple of ads not working correctly. As Godzilla and a few others work fine.

@late shell I can totally understand that from your point of view it might actually look like this as minor fixes on a backgroug aren't visible.

While actually, we're constantly applying ad fixed on the background and have already fixed a simillar issue before. However, as it's a changing environment, new issues occur and you might not even notice that you are already facing a different problem. That's why we always keep asking for details.

In the future, I'll try to bring more transparency so for those who follow this chat room, would know when the specific issue where fixed.

Ok so at the start of best rewarded rush season, with only 3 decent car and other completely useless we have an add issue !!!! Make something, desactive fuel use or reduce it at 5 min for corvette and 15min for egoista (time needed of watching adds to recover fuel) and add 10 free tickets for member getting issue and NOT in 15 days !!!!!

Ads problem

I'm not quite sure if something has been done towards ads to my account after three days of every day reminding, but since I left my iPad to run out of juice and to stay for a couple of hours off when I turned it back on I was able to watch back again.

I'm not quite sure if it will last, but just to let you update my situation.

Am I the only one that thinks the dev team don’t deserve a weekend? U guys are gonna toss some useless 75 tokens and flee, right? I get how you think of users as a piece of xxxt. Leaderboards aren’t getting fixed over a week now, ads are not working, Carribean lags and crashes still present, even hard to remember every single one. Didn’t you see ASL tae hwan kim barely getting a thousand views on youtube worldwide even if he’s one of the top players on A9? It definitely shows that the game is a total failure and it’s because of your dev team’s awful management.

Guys I found a solution for the ads watching

#

If you play with your iPhone and you use the wi-fi turn off the wi-fi and use the data connection

#

If you use your tablet you can use your smartphone's tethering to see the ads

#

It works for me

#

Once you saw the ads you can turn on your wi-fi and play the races

#

@scarlet fox Android & iOS has had issues for some time with ads. Sometimes rebooting device fixes problems for a few hours/day & sometimes not. You can try clearing any caches out in your device, reboot & see if that at least temporarily fixes the issues.

So for the past week, I have been experiencing severe lag spikes that come after another everytime I try to play mp and it's not my wifi connection because I'm on 4G+ wifi and I'm literally 3 metres from the router. Hopefully this madness stops and I can get back to the top 1000 eventually.

Going to fix the issue on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR where recording doesn’t work when using 60 FPS? It records for like 5 seconds and then the video freezes but audio keeps playing. This issue has been around since the phone has been out too and no word on the fix.

same issue as @tawdry arch in some games at the start the game won't wait for me to be in the race before it will start... it will show waiting for players then suddenly i will start 2 seconds late behind everyone and it will write "you have poor connection" altho i don't have any connection problem
on the other hand when anyone in the race is late in joining the game won't start until they join and sometimes we all wait for like 5 seconds or maybe more before the race starts...

on top of that... sometimes i rubber band during mp... it will feel like fps drops or a lag spike but even tho i play TD it will still make me repeat 1 second instead of progressing more (it makes more sense that when i lag or have poor connection the car will keep moving since i'm on TD right ? but it's like the car stops moving)

Fix game crashes.
It’s been a month since that issue appeared, and I’ve reported multiple times about it. But since you guys kept requesting “details”, here you go.
When it happens: mostly the first few races I play in after a while (ex. When I wake up), and it only happens when I’m driving a high end car with only 4-3 fuel. After a while of playing (about 10-15 minutes), it’ll crash again, and it repeats.
My iOS version: 12.2 (latest)
My phone: iPhone 6+
My region: BC, Canada
Other issues: FPS drops (that might just be because my phone is kinda old, but other people with better phones have that issue as well, so I might as well include it here)
It happens randomly during multiplayer (some of them even lead to game crashes)
Please look into the issues and fix them asap. It’s been A MONTH.

Please fix touchdrive avoidance system . Its seem to have become very sensitive today with my car keeping a big distance from othrr cars causing me to wreck or causing the car to disobey command and take wrong routes . Plz do everyone a favour and just remove the Caribbean map can’t even play on the mp cuz the game always crashes in mp therefore losing me points. Every time im hoping no Caribbean map but I always get it the game always crashes on that map. When it comes to other map the game is fine. However there is still lag issues where im getting a late start in mp and everyone is having like a 10second+ head start making it more difficult for me to actually win a race which also make me lose points, with this amount of problems i just feel quitting the game is the best option and never playing unless the issues are resolved but they never will be.

Please optimize game across all iOS devices. iPad generation 6 is more than enough to run this game but after new update it lags on new tracks and during slipstream. Older phones that are equal to this iPhone are also having issues. Please create a toggle system similar to android on iOS so people can play the game in a fair manner. I won a race without a fight against a few very good racers and I know it’s only because of their device. It’s not right. Not everybody has the money to go out and buy a new device because this game caters to newer and/or powerful devices. I don’t want to lose more players because of something fixable like this.

iPad Pro 3rd Gen has no option to turn on 60FPS whereas iPhone XS does have the option to turn on 60FPS even though its a slower device than the iPad. The iPad can run at 120FPS so when Asphalt 9 runs at 30FPS it makes the game look so bad. Please fix!

Apple has told me it is capable of running any game or app at 120FPS and that it has an A12X chip which is faster and newer than the iPhone XS A12 chip. Also fix the multiplayer connection problem. Sometimes perhaps often when I pass the finish line 1st(confirmed on replay), even when my connection is fine, the results show that I’m 2nd and the lap time shown are exactly the same whose results came to be 1st(which is impossible).

There is something wrong with MP of late. Physics, slow motion car, weird wrecks. Overspins that set you the wrong way. To that list today I also noticed that if I shockwave into a slower car, I come out of shockwave and get slowed down without kding them. Happend 3 times today. This has been the case for the last few months is I can only assume something is happening at your end.

@drifting latch actually they want you to watch ads. The token refill prices are crazy to ensure that you watch them. It's in their best interest to make sure ads work. That said there is likely a pecking order dependant on region

I can see that there is a lot of confusion about this topic, so let me clarify a few points.

#

First of all, I can see that you're confusing two different topics: Beta version of iOS (iOS13 and new project from Apple that will help to bring iPad apps to Mac).

With iOS 13 the same as with any beta environment it's mainly made for testing to make sure that applications will be ready once the OS update would go live but until that we would not be able to assist you as we do not guarantee that it would run on beta environment.
And for new project from Apple. We're always looking for news opportunities but we don't have any news and can't confirm anything at this point.

Ok so after and seem not totally fixed adds error unknown, no adds to refill tickets for 2 days, not loading add's, now: adds working but without effect, try to refill aventador J since 30 minutes, see 20 adds on 2 different devices but none reduce time. I need some help... asphalt 9 ceashes right after the loading screen when i start the game... since i downloaded the ios 13 beta i thought the game just wasnt supported for that update yet but then i saw people everywhere on youtube playing asphalt 9 on ios 13 beta without issues playing with a ps4 controller since thats now supported on ios 13

If your new device is iOS then the process is pretty much straight forward. Just use the same Apple iCloud ID on your new device and then download the Asphalt 9. You may see ability to choose A or B account when you will open the app. Choose your existing game account with a progress already made. Do not press Merge Accounts button! That’s it.

The bug occurs after watching the ad and nothing happens during the weekend. I guess the bug is limited to one day when you watch a large number of ads.

@drifting latch i have no idea why multiplayer is lagging so much for me. The screen would say waiting for other players and then all of a sudden everybody is twenty seconds ahead of me while i am still at the starting position. Five out of eight of my mp races had this case today. I know stuff like this takes time to fix, but please at least address that this issue will be solved

Ads are not working, every time I play an ad, it says connection too low and to retry, clicking retry just gives the same result. My wifi connection is perfectly fine, and even if you argue that it’s not, I even switched to data and still yielded the same result. Pls look into this issue as it is very frustrating, especially since refill times for cars are ridiculously long.

@solar slate When you're joining a Multiplayer mode you're given some time to load & connect, but eventually the race would start as we can't make other players waiting too long. Please note that if other players from this race we able to start it normally, I would suggest starting with connection troubleshooting first. @solar slate these lags happen all the time. I have a 50mb connection and still MP lags on occasion. I have found the easiest way to fix is to use mobile data. There could be issues at your end but I'm pretty sure it's a Gameloft issue in the main.

@ornate berry like you I get this, oddly it can vary by device so I'm 99% sure it's not an issue on my part. iPad plays ads fine, iPhone gets a message saying bandwidth to low. This happens last month as well and was fixed by Gameloft. I guess it's broken again. There are some very odd issues in this game and a part of me thinks that Gameloft need to address these but for whatever reason we get stuck in a loop of reporting and it never being truly fixed. I hate to say it but CC won't help much, they will ask you to check your connection use a wired connection if possible. They will then pass your query on to the team.

That is a waste of time as all the info is here on discord.

If you can fix it by changing the type of connection it a good indicator that there was an issue with your previous connection. Please remember that if you're using a Wi-Fi connection, to check the signal level of your connection.
For example, even if you have a 100mb connection, but you're in the opposite part of your house.
Another example: If you have a 100mb connection but you have an old or low-end router.

This is general information and if you would like to know more about it you can search online. I hope it makes sense and will help to understand why it's happening and how to solve those issue. And again, for further assistance, you can always talk to our Customer Care.

The issue I have is that cc know my issue is with a mobile device and still ask me to connect it with a wired connection.
I sit in the same room as my router and still have poor connection. My router is the newest one offered by my broadband supplier.
There is obviously something wrong somewhere. I do speed tests all the time and always get full speed. However, the fact it works better on mobile data is odd.

@late shell do Speedtest on WiFi? I got a new router to make sure A9 MP ran smoothly and still have issues. It helped in other areas also so not a big loss. Stopped using my router/modem combo and got an ASUS Blue Cave. 49 mbps download and 5 mbps to 170 mbps download and 12 mbps upload just from using a dedicated router. I only pay for 100 mbps 🤣

Also, never use the one offered by broadband. They wind up terrible and your paying them money when you could buy your own that is 1000x better for less than you pay them in a year for rental fees 👀

Just to mention, please note that those are only a few examples, and there could be other reasons that cause connection issues. I haven't even mentioned that connection is not just about your device - router and game server and there are many steps in between.
But I very appreciate and pleased to see the level of details and information that you provide. Please keep it up!

I think the issue is that the main ones remain unresolved. Odd MP connection behaviours, inconsistent crashes, wrecks in landing jumps, extra 360s,
These have a detrimental effects when you play the game somewhat seriously.

Carribbean tracks still lag terribly on 60fps. Oddly they are worse on 30fps. The game still crashes cars when landing a jump. (canyon launch after the tunnel) is still awful

@cedar pasture You might have increased lags in races for some time after the update and of course it would more noticeable on the bigger tracks. Don't worry it would self-resolve as you keep playing.

I’m experiencing even more lagging than before the update. Sometimes game freezes for a second during the mp race. And as someone said earlier there’s something wrong with frame rates too. Oh, and battery becomes hot very quickly. I don’t want to say this but game becomes unplayable. iPhone 6s

@drifting latch you mentioned that lag would resolve itself as you play at the last update. I can assure you it doesn't. This is a game issue and something customer care cant help with. I'm on an xs max and it's worse with 30fps enabled than 60fps.
From playing MP today there appears to be nothing fixed. Weird rolls, unpredictable car behaviour. I am beginning to think that this is something intended as opposed to something you will fix (just like the AI). At this point I can only assume these glitches are intended.

The game also still has that weird slow issue where your car feels stuck in the mud.

Could you clarify if 60fps puts you at a disadvantage, in any sort of kd situation it appears i always come off worse. At first I believed this was just part of the game. As I have played more Im sure that there is something odd. I played in 30fps for a week or so and noticed far less weirdness.

@drifting latch I get the same. I have an issue where it feels like my car is stuck in the mud and becomes lazy. It makes sense that this is input lag. Luckily that is intermittent but the lag on the Carribbean is a right pain. Especially as the event is likely going to focus on these tracks.

@drifting latch Since the update I have been experiencing ad issues. I have had the normal 10 ads for event tickets in the past, but the past 2 days 6 ads play normally and then the rest of the day I have the “sorry! no more ads”thing replacing the “watch ad” button.
Have tried restarting the game and phone and I have good wifi and internet connection. The card ad packs work so clearly it isn’t an internet issue; it is just that after 6 event ticket ads I run out now instead of 10.

Hi Gameloft, I have brought up the ads issue before, and up till now it is still not working. As you can see, when trying to watch the ad, I get this pop up, which comes out for ALL ads. Pressing retry does not work, the connection error will pop up again. My wifi is working perfectly fine, I am able to play multiplayer, events, etc. and can access all apps on my phone which need wifi. Many others are facing the same problem so it must be an issue with your servers.

I think that this fix is made even more necessary in light of the aperta event, because 3 fuels and 4h 20mins of wait time and I can’t even use ads to skip it? That means I will miss out on a lot of tokens if I’m unable to complete everything.

(Pinned message info) I am on iOS, I have an iPhone Xs Max, and I’m from Singapore.

Please, I hope that this situation can be resolved as soon as possible or I will miss out on a lot of rewards.

@drifting latch I agree and why I posted this time. Since the rerun of the nsx hunt the drop rate is mostly credits. I know Gameloft intend this but it's still annoying. Especially when people in the lower percentage get more epics from the 8 or 6 packs. I got 2 guaranted from the vencer only yet some people get 3 from packs in the top 10%.

@cobalt kettle If there are 2 things you can rely on in this world, it's Apple's delivery times and Apple's betas.

Even for a small island country I live in, their delivery time estimate 2 days is usually the maximum amount of time. It usually takes 1 day to get here which is impressive. Apple's betas (especially public betas) are no exception - they usually have few bugs and most apps/games can be at least opened.

And respectfully, they do not have until the final version in September to get this game working on iOS 13. They had until today - the public release. A lot of the public will download this public release because it's as good as the final release. So a lot of people will not be able to even open Asphalt 9 = cant spend money = less money for Gameloft = bad for everyone

@drifting latch Again - it is in Gameloft's best interest to provide an update asap for iOS 13.

The message you are sending is that Asphalt 9 will no longer be available on iOS when iOS 13 comes out. Every other app/game works perfectly fine with iOS 13.

Also there are people wanting to spend money on this game, but can't, because they can't even open the game. So it's in your best interest to hotfix this asap.

The game doesn't support the beta environment, as the main goal of any beta - to prepare the game and make sure it's running once iOS 13 will go live.

@lime heart I could potentially run without any issues even on some versions that are in beta if you get lucky and in beta doesn't break anything in the current version of our game. However, if anything happens, unfortunately, we won't be able to assist you as we're targeting to fix the issues only once it will go live. I hope it makes sense because that's how things work.

@drifting latch iOS 13 isn't even out yet. Beta versions do not always have support for some time since the OS is going through constant development & redevelopment. Once the FINAL version is released, iOS 13 will have support & A9 will function on it.

@drifting latch is there any point in logging things here? I don’t mean to be flippant but none of my questions or issues have been addressed. I have contacted cc previously who said the devs would look into it. That, to be honest means nothing from my perspective.

I’m sure the developers are aware of the performance issues with the Caribbean on the XS max, and likely other devices. Is this something that can be fixed? Ads are continually breaking then working again, which seems device specific. My iPad is better than my iPhone at playing ads but both have issues.

Screen recording still doesn’t work, will we ever get a fix? Update after update goes by and it appears that most work goes into new content. I can understand that but surely performance issues should also be addressed.

So my question is, these issues are known and acknowledged by gameloft. Can you give any update as to whether they are fixable or not?

for the last time on the subject--- Beta versions of an OS is NOT the final product. Apps may not work on beta for some time. OS developer is constantly adding, fixing bugs & tweaking the OS prepping it for final release. Installing a beta OS, you assume the risks that apps will fail to work from that point on with no remedy or compensation.

Oh, dear developers, it's unreal to play multiplayer 😢 Every second race search is turning into "application do not response". When removing Asphalt from tasks, game music plays for 5-10 more seconds on desktop.
It's so annoying to restart game after every race 😩

It’s unfair to give sone players advantage on others with the relay packs. Relay packs are for a special event car and the event should be same for all players. Some real money packs could be available for some players but those packs shouldn’t be related to an event or something. Like that 25 Laf BPs. You GL never admit that there’s a problem and instead of solving it, you guys trying to find excuses. Sorry to say that but that’s how I see it.

Basically, she acknowledged that the game is purposefully designed to give offers to some players but not others, to ensure the ‘balance’ of the game. Aka, the game is rigged to get us to spend real money to advance in the game. What a scam. The developers are trying to kill this game.

@drifting latch Ios MP is being ruined for second season straight by 3 players who use connection tricks to 1) avoid hard lobby’s by not connecting to them once they see track and opponents. 2) if they connect but realize mid race that they gonna lose- they can use another connection error trick to DC, game shows they got -20 but on Leaderboard they dont lose anything. Its not a free DC. Please check this players mp games log of this entire season and take actions do not let ios become hackers platform! Ios gives you the biggest income.

@solid hull Are you think that i did it specially? I transfer my account from android when it became possible because i bought ios device a more then 2 months ago but i can't transfer my progress because versions on IOS and Android was the different and only after update i send a request to swap my account. And is it my fault that GL support transfered it with a few bps already and not deleted it from me? Or i need go to support and ask him to delete extra bps straight? Will you do it if you have same situation? Think about it.
