accel stat is stupid, most of the time it means "how fast does the car gain speed on the ground" but it's not a unified rule and some cars accelerate faster/slower than they should
handling is also stupid, people generally accept that it means "how fast does the car lose speed while turning" because it has nothing to do with minimum drifting speed or radius, or minimum turning speed or radius, and it also completely ignores differences in suspension that might affect these things
nitro stat is the least stupid, except for evo cars people generally accept that nitro stat means "how much distance can you cover with nitro on", because cars that have more speed have less nitro duration than cars with same nitro stat but lower speed
