A suggestion for the GL folks: Use a bit of the Clash gameplay by allowing 3 tries per track on both offense and defense so that you can experiment with different cars.

One of the best features of Clash was that it didn't lock you into a single attempt in either phase.

This event is straight up trash for many reasons. They're not even trying to hide how money hungry they are. I guess club clash wasn't making them any money so they definitely had to find a way to remedy that. Not to mention it's completely unfair to overachieving PS5 players, as we get stuck racing against cars we've never even seen released yet in our short time having the game. Clash was one of the few things keeping me playing the game after getting the platinum trophy.

Long-winded answer: I've been playing Asphalt for 4 or 5 years and innovation has almost always been for tge better. Gauntlet can be improved, for sure, so too early to say if it is an improvement over Clash, but it definitely has the potential to be better. Inevitably there will be some aspects to tweak - the inability to pick which specific times to improve, IMO.

I think people are overlooking the fact that only 500 players are in one gauntlet group and that means guaranteed rewards even if you only do the qualification and stop there. And also that the majority of player base are TD users and even TD users have op cars which can be easily beaten by a mediocre manual player
