I Also had one issue with window A9 .Earlier in windows after canceling the ads it doesn't pop up again until I restart my game but recently ads keep coming regardless of canceling the ads after each race Any suggestion to stop ads in window asphalt 9

i am having this issue with multiply player races. i first atary the race and it is giving "can't connect to game server ", sometimes it gives "chexk ur internet connection ", sometimes the game goes "not responding " state. most propably might be issue on my laptop side alone. i tried reinstalling windows but the issue is there. but just want to confirm if anyone have same issue

today, i tried alot to fix it. no matter , how i change windows settings, unable to get multiple player working

Server connection issues are almost always a client side thing

There’s been only one ‘significant’ outage on their end in the past 6 months or so

Here are the screenshots of things that i collected.

When i first open the game, i get the connection error (always) and i would have to press on Retry then it would get me to the home screen

then i have ability to do one race exactly without any issue on multiplayer

as soon as i am done with one race, next race would give me "not responding state" and i wait till it loads and ones it loads, i get this No connection to game server message

sometimes, i get also other shorter message but currently unable to get that today. but it also states the same thing in shorter message

i tried reinstalling windows, checked my entire laptop diagnostic reports and it passed everything. so, i thought it's not with my laptop nor the game issue but it must be my router. i reset my router. that didn't help as well

okey, i will try now using mobile 5g network to connect and see if it is causing this

i don't think it's router as well. i set up just like any normal person would. i didn't use any different DNS and it goes to the ISP dns. no vpn nor any proxy. the problem seems to be with my wifi driver. because able to get good results of ping and speed over the other devices i have.

problem seems to be maybe on how i optimized my computer to run with minimum processes while also having low threads. i been using like this for so many months. mainly since it was really hot in summer and i had to lower the laptop temperature. the game worked great over wifi for all these months without any problem. idk, it started randomally just a few days back. i reinstalled windows and checked and that too didn't fix it. so, can't blame my optimization for this.

and since i tested it's hardware, now that leaves me with recent windows update. could be some bug in recent update i got

actually now i get it. few days ago, i tried to work on docker for running a spring boot server. though i disabled it, i think it messed up with my wifi driver. and when i reinstalled windows, i think it didn't really format it but just installed it over the existing files.

though i did disable the network bridge to this docker network adapter but it seems like some settings remains even after disabling them

When I login it doesn't like force my internet speed up(before you say my internet has an issue I've tested it and it works normally). When it finally opens it doesn't load my events and it gives me a network issue. When it loaded my events it gave me the network issue and froze and never connected again after closing and opening it

Not sure if this was discussed before, but for those on Steam, you may encounter the game not working (keyboard not responding) when launching normally.
You need to run the game as an administrator to be able to play.

Right click on the game -> Manage -> Browse local files -> Right click on the A9 application and run as administrator

directx in general is pretty heavy on performance as ive found back in asphalt 9. the steam version in particular had launch options until they were inevitably removed ~6 months before unite came out (most likely related) and they offered you to switch between dx12, dx11 and opengl rendering. these renderers drastically changed the game's performance and each had their benefits/drawbacks, especially dx12 (which the steam version always shipped with). once the launch options were removed, i had begun experimenting with a wrapper called dxvk, which emulates directx 9/10/11 through vulkan. the performance boost dxvk provided compared to any other renderers was great and extremely efficient, practically destroying the rest. ive been playing with dxvk this entire time with absolutely no problems and even helped some members of the community get dxvk set up

comparison (uncapped fps, 3060ti, 200w power draw, asphalt 9 menu):
dx12: ~300fps
opengl: 400-500fps
dx11: 600-700fps
dxvk: 900-1000fps

combined with dxvk's configuration file i was able to unrestrict any texture compression, making the game look even better than it was supposed to.

asphalt unite clearly utilizes tech that dx11 and opengl cannot produce which is why it runs on dx12 now - but what i dont get is why vulkan wasnt added to accommodate those that have lower end hardware, as vulkan 1.3 is on pretty much all processors with an integrated gpu post-2015. vulkan also ships with the mobile version of unite, so i ask why vulkan on windows/steam? because vulkan utilizes the same tech as dx12, whilst being far more efficient
