I feel like you should be able to choose what boss strike difficulty you do with the changes in the rosters in every 5 level increments. However it should be weighted as such so a level 56 player doing the level 51-55 boss strike only gets maybe 7-90% of the points a level 51-55 player would get at that level of difficulty and even less if they drop down multiple increments that or just cap it at one or two increments in either directions so people get bonus points for fighting up in levels and get penalized for fighting down levels

It’d be better if what units you could use were restricted to units at that level only, but a point deduction would likely be much easier to implement
This way players that don’t grind their units and just collect their house exp don’t just get obliterated

Ur option could work but some units are level capped for the ranking so idk how that would work
just not allowing them at levels beneath their current rank cap would be best most likely
could also do something wayyyyy more complicated to code and have them reduced to the appropriate rank for that fight only, but uhh, that would probably create a ton of really bad bugs
Not a bad idea but if your units arent also restricted i think the drastic point reduction would still be worth doing very fast 0 risk clears to the point of kinda breaking it
Maybe hard cap it at like two increments into both directions
So a level 56 can either fight down to the level 46-49 range or fight up to the level 66-69 range
Bonus points for going up a level is interesting

You can get really busted units at the next 5 level cap and step down to fighting easy units for almost the same points. If you get something really busted ie plasma and go down 5 levels, you'll breeze through Bs making it a joke. If people push higher to stronger units, fight stronger enemies, simple as that 
The game quite literally has a choose your own difficulty option, it's called not leveling up in the first place and min/max at a strategic lvl
This would allow someone to go to lvl56, get frags, maulers, and ETs, then pop back to the weaker non elite/brutal versions of the enemy
That would be far, far, far faster than any other option, and ends with high lvl players essentially wiping out regular enemy units in 1 minute clears all day...
Nah i think a difficulty option should be added for BS
but i think this suggestion is on the lazy side
a simple "i change difficulty" offers nothing to the player, modifiers and dificulty tuning does the same things but lets the players customize it to their liking and play the game their way

I mean if ur losing 20-30% of the points you get at THAT level and more per increment after that I don’t think higher level players are gonna wanna drop down unless they have nothing left
Mostly for the players that don’t grind and get on and just click their houses everyday

One idea from my list of suggestions which is now on reddit, is the idea of a individual boss strike, the special thing is that there are multiple boss strikes to choose from with different modifiers and added to that is restrictions. There can be one or more restrictions with higher difficulty being having more restrictions in place. The type of restrictions can include and not limited to using only one type of unit e.g. infantry, or no use of any nano units, or sudden elimination if your unit is defeated it cannot be brought back after you heal it to the boss strike but you can bring the same unit that hasn’t participated, it could even be to use only one type of unit like just raptors.
