#Personal Boss Strike Rewards

Please make it so there are some sort of rewards from the boss strike for personal contributions, in addition to the existing rewards ladder for guide-wide contributions. I understand that the system is set up in order to promote guild-play and cooperation; the personal rewards should be available only to those who are in a guild while the boss strike is going on. I think these rewards can be similar or different from the guild-wide rewards, but they should go to including the T10 rewards for players who achieve incredibly high scores. This should actually help with group effort for guilds outside of the top competitive guilds, for these reasons:

  1. It creates an incentive for every member to participate. First, it gives an immediately visible "reward" for the personal contribution of each member, while the personal thresholds are low enough that each member can easily grasp that the first rewards are only a few points away, even if their guild already reached a high tier.

  2. It allows high-performing players to be able to take more chances with which guild they are in, perhaps even starting their own guilds to reach a wider base of players, without having to worry about being unable to get the unique unit rewards because their guildmates were unable or unwilling to contribute enough.

Using points from the last boss strike, perhaps rewards could be given for total thresholds such as:
10k
25k
50k
100k
250k
500k
1 million
2 million
3 million

with, say, the last two tiers offering the T10 reward unit. If balance is a concern due to some players having too many T10 units, these could be only given out for players whose guild did not achieve T10/T11 in the first place.

Furthermore, these scores could be taken without considering the guild-size bonus, to avoid incentivizing people to downsize their guilds just to reach the personal thresholds.

Since we already have leaderboards for the first boss strike, I hope that at least the higher-end rewards here could be given out retroactively.

Ultimately, it doesn't make much sense that someone who can do well enough to reach the top 50 is somehow unworthy of a T10 reward unit, just because the rest of their guild was unable to contribute enough; especially when the guild rules make it impossible to somehow correct the issue when it becomes clear that the guild is struggling.

This seems like a deeply personal issue. I do however like the idea of giving players with large personal investments a bonus. Purely altruistic of course 😉

Jokes aside, I don't think you should get units. Hardcore guilds would always just get more. I do think steel or T2 ressources for example to repair/rank units after the bossstrike would be nice. After (!) the bossstrike and capped for 1 Mio BP. That is already a time commitment not many can do and I think incentivizing more is unhealthy in the long term due to burn out.

While I somewhat agree and kinda like the personal rewards thing, you kinda do need a guild wide element to them otherwise your guild doesn’t matter at all

I don't disagree with needing a guild-wide component still--it's a big part of why I chose such high thresholds. I believe you only would have needed only around 130k per player if everyone in a 100-person guild to obtain a T10 unit, so being in a guild allows one to obtain the rewards much more easily, or much more of them, compared to what you might be able to from just the personal contributions as described

you should change your name to Kevin Garnett because holy balls how did your guild not reach T10 😭

in all seriousness, yeah. If they aren't going to change anything else about how BS works, adding something to incentivize individual performance despite poor guild performance will prevent people from just trying to crowd the big guilds with notable track records and killing guild diversity

Ok like as much as I agree with having some individual bs rewards

#

Bro you can walk into any guild you want right now

So you can straight up pick whether you want to be t9 or t14 next strike

I think we really should have the personal reward be a thing. Maybe cap it at 500k? 1mil? Just as an incentive. And it's not just because people can be screwed by non contributing guild members, but also a solution that can fix the non-contributing problem and motivate people to put in at least some work with clear goals.

#

As it is right now in the average guild there're many would just decide that "Eh, someone else will take care of it". And you can't really know who will until after the BS.

#

And while this dont really let you know for sure if people would work for the benefit of the guild, having this goals would motivate them especially if they're not in the top guilds. So instead of "this is hopeless, my effort won't matter, most my guildmates won't even do it, so why try" they will be "Well, let's get these personal rewards to my limit, at least I know I'll be getting these"

Having personal boss strike rewards giving people goals would be great for the game.

A lot of people looked at the requirements and just decided it’d be too difficult

exactly. If i was not in a decent guild I'll just turn off my game and spare myself the headache. And the rest would think the same, thus only intensify the problem. Having personal goals motivate people, hopefully enough, that they would put in the work. And when some do, the rest will think "Hey, there're people are actually doing this. Maybe we can get tier X after all"
