#No limit on Infected Units in battle

In Og battle nations, on the wiki it says that there is an infected unit limit on the battlefield of** only 4** and it had me thinking, especially after checking each infected's stats.

Why is that the case?

I don't think any infected units (Outside of maybe the Apex ones) are that particularly strong? The strongest (A Colossus) is essentially just a weaker level 6 wimp? Why not let those who are lucky enough to have more than 3 spam 4-5-6 etc of them? It would make them a bit more viable!

Plus it can also lead to more fun battles! If someone wants to send the hoard of the "dead" upon Gantas's base and give his people crippling ptsd of the walking infected, then let them damn it!

Maybe a limit can be put in place for only 3 apex units when they eventually get added, but the power of Apex units shouldn't hold back other units (Especially when you can spam other much stronger units like Supers and Vets/Mega's when we get them)

I think limit of 3 infected units was fine as is. Granted, if I was to do silly PvP with friends I’d likely want the limit to be removed.
The idea of fighting or seeing “the meta” of 3 R6 Wimps and 4 Colossus sounds annoying AF IMO.

They aren't THAT tough, plus they do die quite easily under fire attacks. Also you can always up their PVP Unit value.
Not to mention what you just said ... can happen anyway already.

I never remember the limit existing, personally. But I am all for it. The Infected provide nothing that is abnormally strong, they aren't abnormal, they don't regen health, they are just unique in apperance. And who doesn't love Halloween?

This is besides the fact many units have unique damage against Infected such as the Civilian Lumberjack. So I say, why not. It's not like Infected have any uniqueness to have reason behind the decision.

Maulers are pretty tough, but they do have no armor and that fire weakness so I wouldnt hate fighting like 5 of them if I had a fire unit or 2.

Colossus hits way weaker then wimps. Maulers are strong enough that you could argue a unit limit for, but certainly not for other infected.

Even if the Colossus and Mauler are the reason for it, just give them a unit limit instead of putting a limit on infected as a whole

Yeah sure do that. But even still I think it'll be overkill.

A mauler is strong, but I wouldn't say its overpowered.
But yeah, a creeper or a bullfrog should not be on the same catogory as a colossus def.

Tacking on to this. There should be a military defense building that lets us store our infected in to defend our base (I think a crypt / graveyard would be perfect)

Yeah, the limit on infected units is kinda iffy. Just do a 3 unit limit on the archetypes and colossus like the wimp.

I do think if this gets like 100 this would generally have a GOOD shot at being done.

Yeah the infected limit is super annoying. It does make sense for super early game, but once you are mid endgame it's entirely pointless to restrict them at all. This goes for a lot of units. I think for every deploy limited unit the deploy limit should be removed once you get 10-20 levels over the unlock requirements of said unit

a unit gets suppressed when it takes damage, damage gets modified based on the suppression modifier each attack is different, if that number is higher than your bravery you become suppressed

Mauler is a 5 turn cycle so you can use any other unit in that 1 turn and then you have 4 mauler attacks again

I'm 99% sure that is an alternate account / sock account. I.E, someone who was extradited by the community or was already banned.

I've seen it adding emojis to react to people in #battle-nations-discussion but it never writes anything of it's own volition.

We caught it bumping posts, which I reported. It has done so again of course. And again. (I've also seen it unfollowing again.)

And after it was pointed out that said account was just being a nuisance, it has taken upon itself to ping you / the role to try to report this behavior it was accused of.

This isn't behavior for a normal person, this is behavior someone does when they are on an alt hiding. They were using it to be a nuisance, after they were called out, they are now having fun being a nuisance again. Now they're talking after avoiding doing so, yet maintaining a presence, because that's the only way they can annoy others. (Note they went from broken English the last 2 messages to short-form English.)

There's a level of dedication present, that suggests this is someone who was an active community member hiding behind an account. It deleted it's message in #👋-welcome It's likely avoiding typing normally in long messages, so it's not called out for this.

I don't have any definitive proof it's an alt, it just screams alt behavior.

Id say that running more than 4 maulers make virtually no difference in any fights alr (cycling the burrow doesnt do that much even, and you sacrifice other unit slots for that)

Collosus are pretty good for the new boss fight. Specially if you don't have wimps (which if you don't have wimps at level 56+ then WHAT are you doing), or want wimps that can survive a few attacks.

Thing is - Colossi and Wimps fill vastly different roles.

Wimps are a glass cannon disposable unit with extremely good crushing damage and a strong loop that makes them premium for BSes and other throw-away test formations to probe multi-wave formations.

Colossi are genuinely, intentionally tanks. They're armored, good dodge, and sit front-and-center with disruption tools and high suppression chance.

Even then, they're outclassed by things like Nomads for CC and literally any kind of tank for actual tanks. There's little use case especially since they're so limited, and that slot can go to Maulers instead.

Unlimiting infected units would allow players to better use the colossus, and other units like it.

If Madrona is worried about mauler spam - just limit maulers.
