Despite there being many, MANY multiple Raider outposts the player unlocks, none of them have respawning encounters.
My suggestion is that Gantas’ Fortress gains respawning encounters players at any point in the game can check in on and clear for skulls. I believe this to be important for a myriad of reasons.
Reason 1: Earlygame Access to Skulls.
The only semi-consistent method Earlygame players have for getting skulls is clearing the two Raider encounters that can respawn at their base. This is an issue for two main reasons.
Issue 1: It’s entirely possible for Earlygame players around level 20 to encounter armored war mammoths, 500hp armored behemoths they’re ill-equipped to handle on their own, strangling their already restricted skull income entirely, as they at this point do not have access to Reef Bandits.
Issue 2: Potential Friend Poaching. As if waiting for a Raider encounter they’re capable of clearing wasn’t bad enough, a well-meaning friend can swoop in and clear the Raider encounter for them, without their go-ahead, further depriving the player of skulls.
Reason 2: Skull Prices.
Let’s say the player would like to create two Power Boats and a Raider Training Camp. Simple enough right? no not really. The power boats alone cost 40 skulls. The Raider Training Camp costs 30. These prices seem WILD for a Tier 3 Resource that’s only obtained from Naval Combat or Outpost Encounters. Having repeatable, respawning Raider Encounters at Gantas’ fortress would help make it so that players don’t have to pay an arm and a leg, or farm for what could feasibly be weeks, incurring heavy losses if they aren’t paying for M10s, just to create a training camp and two boats.
Reason 3: Frankly, it just makes sense.
Why AREN’T there respawning raider encounters at any of the bases? From a lore perspective, it isn’t as if these places are abandoned, even after the conclusion of the Raider storyline. World Map patrols should probably be present too, they’re the people indigenous to this part of the continent. Why do we never see them unless we attack them, or they’re on our doorstep?
