Sense of security is incorrect more like an incorrect assessment because of how large the difference is between ranks. Without community support on it's own you wouldn't think much of the nomad other than it ranks quickly. And given power scaling on most units, you wouldn't anticipate it either. The Elemental Troop most people have however is loosely similar and people will have already ranked it up hence people calling it bad or meh. Admittedly it's incredibly strong when ranked to R4 and onwards.
