Self explanatory, I snuck in these guys' room, eventually got spotted but noticed that neither their vomit attack nor their pecking dealt a single point of damage to my character. I'm playing on normal, gonna try to reload the save and report whether or not it fixes the issue
On a second note, after reloading my auto save right during the cutscene where I fell from the pipes, it seems that my equipment was now fully available.
What's odd is that when I first reached that point, fell through the pipes and got searched by the two "???" guys, I had lost everything, and thought it was normal since I assumed my stuff got stolen by the two mystery persons.
Now I don't know if i'm supposed to have my equipment or not. (By equipment, I mean my decrypting tool and the healing syringes I found earlier in the game)

Reloading the save works in making the enemies able to hit me again. Pretty unfortunate for me to have run into this bug. I'll make another ticket for the other oddity listed right above.
