I was in a custom game recently with my friends and i had to close the game , But now im stuck in rejoining loop to a game that doesnt exist. Its been around 18 hours and i still have the same problem.

Rejoin bugs is what they should be fixing....not dice roll probabilities. There is def some core functionality that is broken.

If you can access the desktop version, you should be able to quit using the menus. Is everyone with problems on mobile device?

You can load the game on desktop even if you started on mobile and quit out of the game (resign) . This will kill the rejoin loop

I found a stupid fix, it requires speed

Open the app and immediately spam the play button, as quickly as you can add a couple of bots and start a game. You have to be very quick before it starts loading you into your old game. Then you can enter that game and quit it

Sadly it did not help. The play button did not show, it loaded to fast. Tried to press esc and got the question if I wanted to guit the existing game, but barly had time to press yes and when I did, the game crashed and quit. Started it up again and still the same problem.

It did help for 2 of us u need to click on solo first in order to have the bots ready

you have to execute 4 clicks guys : click on solo bottom left (if you click it once and then close game with task manager the options stays so dont worry about it after launch), then bottom right play, then left you press the game (its defaultly loaded with bots ) and you go bottom right immediately to start game

Yeah, I was only out of the game for a few hours so it wasn’t huge, but definitely thankful to play atleast one game today haha

Did you try hitting solo first? may need to add a first step there and spam the solo button. You may not have time to do everything but do one round just switching to solo then try again spamming the play button

Yep, I did. I was able to get a knights & cities game started solo, but when I quit out of it- it weirdly went back to the ORIGINAL game from six hours previous

is the original game base game? when hitting play are you starting the same type of game as the original? worth a shot to make sure it's the same. maybe the game has a thing where you can have multiple games of different expansion packs going, but only one of each kind

Found my own ipad snd tried, but no luck. I was able to start a solo with 2 bots, it tried to start a game with only one bot and then suddenly it tried to start the old game but my username was suddenly John Doe 😂
I hope they can fix this soon, best would be to roll back the update until they have fixed all the bugs.

install NetLimiter (or any bandwidth-throttling app) to temporarily slow your internet. When throttling is enabled, the rejoin process takes longer after about 3–4 seconds, a Close button appears on the rejoin popup. Tap it, then disable throttling and join any online game once to refresh your server session.

Hi guys, I found a fix yesterday

1. Open the app on mobile or tablet and immediately spam bottom left to solo. It will start bringing you into rejoin, just close the app again
2. Reopen the app and as fast you can spam the play button > add a bot or two > click play
3. It will bring you into a new match you can quit

If you're lucky, after you quit this one you're out of the rejoin loop

If you're one of the unlucky few, it will bring you back to the original match. If it does maybe retry again and faster. You have to be super fast. Spam like your life depends on it

Spamming the play and getting into a solo match then backing out was not working on my end until just now. Was able to get into another solo, back out and I am now out of the rejoin loop.

I got in by hitting PLAY then QUICK GAME. You have to be quick to hit PLAY though or it goes to re-join

TBH, when you email customer service, they email this to you.

Catan Universe received an update on 4th February (Version 2.7.0) and due to the current high volume of inquiries, we are unfortunately unable to answer all emails individually at the moment.

After the update, we are currently facing several technical challenges, including:
Rejoin loops! - You can usually fix this by closing the app, restarting it, and starting a new single‑player game as quickly as possible after launch. This interrupts the loop before the game tries to reconnect you to the expired match. If this workaround does not help, please send us your player name and registered email address so we can manually fix the issue in your account.
Player limit settings not being applied
Bots getting stuck in a trading loop
Server overload error messages
Unstable gameplay flow and game interruptions
We kindly ask for your understanding that we are currently unable to respond to every individual request regarding these technical issues, and we kindly ask for your patience. Our developers are already working hard on resolving these issues and will release patches over the next few days to fix them.

Read yagoobean’s post above and follow the steps. I had to do it twice and in two parts but it did eventually work.

Basically, when you open the app and the game starts trying to rejoin, I first had to QUICKLY hit the solo game button to toggle off the online game option. For me, I had to at that point just close out the app because it had transitioned to the rejoining loop for the bad game.

When I then restarted the app, the solo game option was still toggled on so I was able to VERY QUICKLY press play and also then press Quickplay for the base game while the rejoining loop message was on (but not yet progressed to the screen with the player names). At that point, the rejoin stopped and a bot game loaded. I then QUIT that new bot game before playing it and I was finally out of the rejoining loop. Note that if you play the bot game to the end, you’ll still be stuck (at least I was) so the trick is to get the bot game loaded up and then back out immediately.

I didn’t get that much detail when I emailed yesterday. I got a response written in German. According to Google Translate, it simply said a ticket was open.

Before you at least had the option cancel the rejoin, there was an X at the top for a second or two. The X is now gone 😭

I tried this but it didn't work loads too quick. Used to be there was an x on the rejoin bar now I don't see it.but the rejoin bar is only there a split second before it goes into the players line up. Left it there for hours but never advances to game so you can quit.

I uninstalled reinstalled same problem, tried accesses on another device, as soon as my password is in its the rejoin hell.
