Depending on the screen, an additional chatbox would take up quite some space. You should see a white dot when a new message comes in. It might also be that others see a new message or read the text but don't wish to interact.
Not related to the original post, but with regards to the reference of the "white dot". Can you tell me, is this to signify a "new" message, or that just "any" messages have been posted in chat?
On PC, I often get different results. If the window is open and a few messages are exchanged, it can be minimised again and the white dot doesn't appear - which feels right.
But, its possible to see the white dot for the entire game, even if new messages haven't been posted.
Just wondering whether this is to signify "new" messages since you last viewed the chat window etc. Any info appreciated 🙂
Then how about make a Friendly Robber option in automatch games? That's really the reason i send chat messages, to try to cut out some of the confusion and resulting anger when players use different versions of The Friendly Robber Rule. It's truly awful.
A white dot means a new message has arrived that you haven't read yet. If it doesn't disappear on PC it's probably a bug 📝
