CVRs servers are like that, before EAC they were very cut down, but then EAC hit and 10k people all wanted in at the same time when the servers were only big enough for 100
nowadays its a bit different, since now the server load can be scaled up dynamically, but since shadow needs GPU power too, they might have a harder time implementing such a solution

especially since they will be bunked in with all those AI companies too

I guess it depends on who has to make the change. If VRC, then yes, it’s probably not that difficult and the only thing stopping them from doing so is considering implications of disabling the VM check and planning the implementation. On the other hand, for EAC, it may not be a simple dashboard with an on/off toggle as you’re probably thinking.

At a high level, the process could be similar to changing a True to a False in a text file, but realistically the process likely involves vendor/developer coordination, security validation, regression testing, a deployment cycle, etc.

there are literally other games bigger than vr chat, where we waited for more than 1 year for eac to pass them over to shadow, so chances for vr chat to work is not close as you expect

by the time it’ll be fixed, you can save up and get a decent pc yourself

so cancel the subscription if you only got it for vr chat, getting a pass from eac is not a walk in park shadow can pull, it’ll take a long time

• on free, you can't manage Virtual Machines. While

I've rented to own everything from furniture to flat-screens. those companies are not a scam and places like rent-2-own and rentacenter charge you market price. in fact, they'll price/rate match if you find somewhere else that you can get it cheaper. it's like paying off a phone at verizon, meaning the "interests" only come from late payments. they don't do finance aspects. it's one single constant rate that never changes. the only time your bill would be higher is, like i said, if you missed a payment. which is a problem on your end, not theirs. get the computer from an actual rent to own company, not some pc renting service. the one wey found for my partner is the same price in total as if we would have built it ourselves, but he's only gonna be paying about 199 a month for it since doing 50 bucks a week instead would take more time to pay it off. because yes, they offer both monthly and weekly rates.
