My message to epic games (EAC) after the last vrc statement

​I am writing to you regarding a critical issue with VRChat and Shadow PC. Please read this manually and do not send an automated response.
​The Issue: Why are you suddenly blocking Shadow PC Virtual Machines in VRChat again? Shadow is a legitimate cloud gaming provider, and your software is preventing users from playing.
​Responsibility:
​Shadow PC has confirmed they haven't changed their infrastructure – they are the victim of your detection update.
​The VRChat developers explicitly state they cannot change EAC configurations themselves.
​This leaves you (EAC) as the only party responsible. You are blocking a legitimate service while everyone else is pointing fingers.
​Timeline: After Christmas, there was a similar blocking issue which was resolved (presumably by you allowlisting Shadow again). Why is the fix taking so long this time? It was solved quickly before.
​Please update your allowlist/whitelist to stop blocking Shadow PC VMs immediately.

ChilloutVR runs most stuff on server side, if someone were to be malicious to you, the most they could do is annoy you or maybe spawn too many things to cause lag, both are easily solveable with user side settings

there isnt a need for an anticheat or other stupid solutions because the game operates on not trusting the client at all where possible

the only real threat vector is mods but if you use CVR Melon Assistant, those vectors are also safe

You can actually; i found out that if you get ip banned on vrc while using shadow, you can just loophole that ban with making a new shadow entirely, thats why they're hesitant on allowing it client side
