vrc has been on the incompatible list since the last time this happened. shadow has to do that legally, it doesn't mean it's permanent. it's just because it is not currently playable. that list can change at any time. and neither shadow nor epic know, that much is clear.

While fingers are still being pointed around at people, the official VRChat devteam has put out a few smaller statements during their stream. Here are some excerpts:

"We've been in direct contact with everybody involved from (...) engineers that work on this stuff and, from what I've been told, there's no buttons we can push... its somewhere in between ShadowPC and Epic"

"..I think we have at least one team member that's being affected by this, and they're having to go and find another server for this (...) cause they have a Mac"

So from my understanding, this rests with Epic. Thats not official or anything, but its what I understand.

Again, we still have no confirmation VRChat will come back. They could very well come back tomorrow and say "we can't do anything," and just as easily say "we'll be back on ShadowPC tomorrow". We don't know.

Do not go and cause issues in their respective servers. Causing unnessecary unrest will cause more issues than not.
Apologies for plugging this again, but ChilloutVR has been the most popular alternative if you absoultely must socialize. People here are willing to help you set it up if you are willing to.

Here’s what’s crazy to me..

It’s the fact that EAC was never aware of this situation. Yet. Fingers are being pointed at them for it..when they never even knew. So quite frankly..all fingers point to VRC. Because there’s no way this is just another scenario of the week before Christmas when this same thing happened & EAC got right on it because they were made aware of the situation.
