Im getting good latency of about 25ms all together and have a string cinndction with 0 packet loss however when I'm playing games it feels like the fps is really low and the games unresponsive. I have the fps counter up in the game and its way above 60 which is the refresh rate of my TV.

Im on mac os using the normal version of shadow app.

take a photo/short video of debug menu while in game (cmd+alt+o & cmd+alt+i)

also check TV is in "Game Mode"

everything looks normal, acquiring, encoding, decoding and rendering at the same value

it's just game performance, you can try to change a bit settings or lower resolution for better performance

and make sure TV is in game mode of course

my games running at 120fps which is why im thinking its not the game

i disabled the fps limit in shadow launcher and i am trying a differenty decoder

Just tried that and it seems okay. The encoding fps fluctuates around 55-60 alot is that normal?

and yes, it's changing very often depending on the content it had to encode and its complexity

I tried no mans sky on ultra graphics and it had no issues with encoding at 60fps

You can test at 90fps too, what do you mean by other games ? Games with no buildin fps limiters ?

If Mac is Intel it can also struggle at that resolution, should not be an issue with m1+

Yes, but it’s a bit différent with shadow, those extra frame can help reduce stuttering by improving frame pacîng

Just cap at 90fps in games

Instead of just 60 when you can

#

You should not change any other settings in shadow launcher or in Windows settings
