I use a wireless Turtle Beach headset plugged in via a USB dongle but when I'm gaming through Shadow, my mic just stops working & i have to reset my headset to get it to work. But, outside of Shadow my headset/mic works perfectly fine.

You could try streaming audio through something like audio relay
You will need zerotier for it tho, is free to setup

IF it's for GTA FiveM, each time you load up FiveM, you will need to go to Sound Settings, go to Recording tab, right click the shadow microphone, disable it and then right click and enable it again.
