used my shadow pc to buy an upgrade in storage for my Shadow, and has yet to come through. i assume it just takes a second, or did i mess something up by doing the upgrade ON the pc?

Once you're back, go on and check if the storage will be available for you.
If not, then you try that and/or contact Support.
