For context this has been happening for around 2 days, and I don't have any other devices to try it on.

what have you done before it happened ? installed a VPN ? reset from windows ?
deleted shadow components ?
anyway, if you have no other way to access it, it's most likely bricked, you can either contact support for file recovery (web FTP), or factory reset from your account

I haven't got a VPN active on anything other than my browser, and nothing changed in the actual VM when it crashed initially other than the fact that I was uninstalling some games.

well if you are stuck to thumbnail showing your desktop, you either need to contact support to see what they can do (or ask for recovery link to recover your unsaved files) or factory reset

if you do a factory reset it will fix it, been there. Or wait for support
