If it helps its to do with directx or gpu/cpu
What shadow plan?
Have you tried a GPU driver reinstall, using latest game ready drivers?
Using neo currently
Drivers have been updated too
I've tried reinstalling the game, lowering graphical settings, changing directx version and all I've managed to do is extend the crash from 5-10minutes to 30-50 minutes
Seems to be a gazillion potential fixes on Google search of the error code.
Yup
Dating back like 10 years. So I dunno 😫
So far no solution has been good
My last idea is that a windows update is causing it and if that's the case I have to wait to do windows 11 when it's stable
Hmm hopefully that issue is resolved soon 🤞🏻
I assume it’s the only game giving these sorts of issues?
Yup only gta, every other games runs with no issues
Do we have an eta on when the patch will be released?
No update on the incident report yet.
For now I'll keep trying solutions and maybe contact rockstar support to see if they might have a temp fix til it's safe to update
Or if im lucky someone who's had the same issue finds a solutions on here 😅
Someone claimed they formatted the pc and reinstalled windows but I don't think I can physically do that can I?
Sure, factory resetting your Shadow via account VM management webpage reinstalls Windows (in this case reinstalls Win 10 and shadow component software) C drive wiped and if have additional storage it’s untouched.
I'll keep that as a last resort cus I have an insane amount of unity files to sort through
Another thing it could be is that gta is on external storage since I know on the rare occasions being on internal fixes it but I barely has storage on it to fit a 20gb game let alone 115gb
hey pip how long would a factory reset take?
and if i do when i got to turn on shadow would it just start up like normal but as a fresh pc?
About 30-60 mins and yes.
Just need to make sure it’s off before starting reset otherwise will display error. While resetting the vm status will be Running/Maintenance, will know it’s completed once back to Ready to launch
ok i think im just gonna say screw it and factory reset and go through installing everything and see how it goes but ill keep you posted on if it works
Logged back into my essentials and reinstalling gta legacy now and this time it's going on C drive so hopefully runs better to now that I have space
Had a hiccup with the rockstar launcher but fixes that, the timezones didn't line up with my own which prevents logging in 🤨
Trying the game now hoping it kept my save
15 minutes in and no issues so far
Still no issues with gta but now shadow is having connection issues more frequently where is claims I've lost connection and doesn't attempt a reconnect in which I have to close the app and reopen it to resume playing
I think it’s just gta cause I’m having the same issue
Oh nvm
