#Opening Virtual Desktop

Hi. Do you use a FritzBox router at home and have you updated to version 8.00?
Because the update from 7.xx to 8.00 was the reason why Virtual Desktop hasn't worked anymore. But I have a workaround when you also have the same router and version

Okay, than I sadly can't help you. An AVM FritzBox router is a German internet router which is the most sold internet routers in Germany 🙂
This is going to sound so weird, and I know I'm not a mod or anything, but if you can get to the menu where it says "input your name"/ECT, then it's not your shadow. It's your headset.
Honestly, what I had to do to make everything work again, was factory reset my Oculus Quest 3. Then I found out my Quest hasn't been properly registering my IP for the longest time, so I had to restart my router. All of this combined made it start working again!
I don't see where it says input your name , my shadow works fine , I can run it on my PC and it opens up flawlessly , but when I want to use my virtual desktop on my Quest 2 it will start to act like it's gonna boot up by saying " Establishing Connection but then a few seconds later it just doesn't connect , I think I have been restarting my eeros and not my router cause my eeros are connected to my router , so ima give that a go in a few and see if it work 😭 .

And nothing is wrong with your IP... You've got VD working on your computer too. That's weird. Have you tried making sure your settings are, for lack of better words, the lowest they can be?
I factory reset and I converted VD back to a later version and it still didn't work
H u H. Yeah I'm stumped, that quick fix normally works for people.
nope , no double nat or anything cause last night it just automatically worked for like a second and then it shutdown.
Yeahhh... I'd directly get your Shadow some maintenance then, if that's the case.
yeah I'll keep trying , when I factory reset it the first time it did work but after that , it didn't

They should be able to perform some maintenance, make sure everything is fully workin.
I've reached out and no answer and that was about a week ago
I have even emailed them.
Huh. The discord support so far has worked the best for me, response in a day generally.
