Two options. Contact support, they will be open Monday-Friday, or factory reset your Shadow.

I use my shadow for coding and I have projects I have not backed up yet
It's part of Shadow's own updating tool. Something failed, borked the update process.
Support can command it to restart the update, brings it back to life.
EVEN if they can't, they can give you a link to recover everything.

They get backed up over the weekend, so expect a response by Tuesday. I wish they would give the end user a button to run that script when it logs an update error
