#High Latency and Low FPS

Hey, just bought my Shadow PC Power and was expecting a lot more, the latency is high and I know it's not coming from me since my Internet speed is high, then, my FPS are not going higher than 30. Is it that a issue or is it normal ?

FPS is dynamic, it depends of the content you stream, on desktop, this is a normal value, when streaming fullscreen gaming/video content it will cap to the game FPS and screen capabilities

regarding network issue, can you screenshot the first information of the shadow quick menu device to box and box to internet too

and give details of your local device (hardware/OS/wifi/ethernet/powerline)

DM me your log, I'll check that directly : on MacOS open Terminal application and paste : cd ~/.shadow && open . this will open a finder on shadow logs, then just send me in DM your shadow.log

ok, there's several things with MacOS and wifi to consider

  • if you have an icloud+ subscription you need to disable private relay

  • if you have other Apple devices (Apple watch/iPad/iPhone) it may creates issues (you may need during tests to shutdown those, and if it fixes issues disable Handoff/Continuity on both of those)

  • need to disable Location services fully

now regarding your logs, I recommend you enable 4:4:4 in Shadow Launcher settings, make sure you get a strong wifi signal, get closer to your router (you have ATM +7ms of latency just between you and your router)

if you are close to it, I recommend you use an ethernet adapter which is the best way of using Shadow

Mac doesn't support ethernet cable
