Hi, just wondering how long it takes for your shadow pc to change plans

Usually like 5-10 mins if Shadow is off during this time.

Indeed. Order upgrade with it off, once processed order wait 10 mins and boot up Shadow, should then be done.

I think I ordered the upgrade with it on. Is that a probelm?

Nope, just need to shutdown now then wait.

No Problem. To be correct I get windows 11 with the upgrade, just need to install it.

It is not automatic, you will need to use Windows Updates to update to it or use the Win 11 install assistant.

The only reason Win 11 isn't on Boost is cause of hardware incompatibility 🙂

Righto.. So no AMD CPU and RTX A45000 on Shadow ? Still old hardware?

If so shutdown again, via windows itself. Make sure it turns off (app says Shadow is off).. Then wait maybe 20 mins this time.

It might just need to take longer while off. Around 15 mins is usually sufficient enough for the hypervisor to fully release your Shadow, hence the maybe needing 20 mins off..

Usually upgrades are done within the 5-10 mins.. But something could happen for it to take longer, I cannot say what though.. I would suggest going to do something for an hour or so, to absolutely make sure. If still no luck you'll have to contact Support, although they are not open on the Weekend.

to fix that problem is use Win 11 install assistant then when done installing window 11 just restart pc like a normal pc would . its a fix for me and working . shutting down it won't work for me so i tried the other way and works fine.

i have this same issue @stiff jay did yours upgrade yet? i got an email and everything about the invoice and about the upgrade & how it would take 30-60 mins. this was over 12 hours ago.
