Lag can be caused by many things, the 35 dollar one is pretty much the same specs as the 19.99 one only difference is ram and storage I think

press wins + alt + o and take a screenshot of the stats on the right side of the screen

try pressing Wins + alt + r if that doesn't work press Wins + alt + q and go to help which the question mark in the launcher turn off the shadow wait 15-20 and try starting again
