#Error code: L-104 (setting_display_config)

Hello.

I'm getting the following error code: Error code: L-104 (setting_display_config)

I'm not able to connect to my ShadowPC at all.

I've tried just about everything:

  • Using Wifi
  • Using Ethernet
  • Using Cellular Teather (So it's not an ISP issue or a modem issue)
  • Full re-format of my MacOS
  • ShadowAlpha
  • ShadowBeta
  • Safe Mode, IPv4 combo
  • Rub belly, pat head
  • pray

Anyone have anything else I can try? It worked fine until the recent update. Then everything went haywire.

Oddly enough, it worked on my iPhone 11, once. But then the same issue (L-104) is happening...

Worked fine yesterday. Today I cant launch stream with stable/beta client. Waited 30 plus mins.

Yea, I think this is a pretty wide spread issue. My ticket with support is on hold at the moment. I think they're probably freaking with how many people have this issue. But I'm going to miss my stream tonight so I think this might be it for me and Shadow. 😦

Mine was working fine after I factory reset it now its doin this again but the error code Is L-104(vmproxy_vmstatus)

Safe mode seems to work for me

Sadly you can only get one screen though if you're using dual monitors

@blissful abyss what resolution and refresh rate are you using ? display model and brand ?

with L-104, common workaround are :

  • Try safe mode from help pane
  • Reboot your local router and machine
  • Shutdown shadow from help pane, wait 10 minutes or until it says "Shadow is off" and start again
