Hello, it's been 2 days since I renewed my subscription. Knowing that I have 300Mbps download and connected with Ethernet directly (no wi-fi bridges whatsoever) I still manage to get latency issues and stutters. The host is located ~150km from me. So that is not a problem. Does anybody knows why does that happen? I have changed several machines to try on with the same results. Thanks and have a great day.

PingPlotter is an application by PingMan Tools for troubleshooting network issues and easily visualizing latency and packet loss issues.
win10/win11 ? you have disabled windows GPU scheduling as it's incompatible with shadow ? which game ?
and of course show a screenshot of quickmenu filtered on 10 minutes worth of gaming
yeah now 0 % packet loss
😄
also for cod warzone
the game is literally unplayable considering the rig has 1080 and a decent cpu
the ram is i guess the problem but still ~40 fps on literally the lowest settings possible
#🎮┃game-talk message
Everything I needed to do has been already done.
you said you set lowest setting possible, so no
you have not answered if GPU scheduling is disabled
nop
isn't how that works?
on my local pc as example if i lower the graphics I get more fps
so does that also apply to the shadow pc's
in a GPU bottleneck case, but in a CPU bottleneck it's different :)
you didn't read :)
Okay, I guess I am gonna try and tell the results.
so
same results, followed all steps
bottleneck does not occur
following the task manager
gpu usage stays around 70-80%
rarely at 100% and still getting 40-50 fps
you may also edit game file and add more threads ("thread count for handling the job queue") in options.3.cod22 it's by default at 2, you can try 4 if you are on basic tier, and 6 on power
may help snatch a few more fps
Do I have the right to demand a refund?
Knowing I have bought the service 3-4 days ago
You may have bufferbloat issues on your vm or on your host or both. Do a bufferbloat test from waveform and see what results you get. It tests the under load latency which can be bad due to packet queueing improperly
damn how you got no latency my intttternet is 300mbs same as you
Hi, when you buy Shadow you check a mark saying than you are not able to request a refund
Also you’re issue is still happening?
@tardy herald @gritty oxide
Its the same issue I have had
Apart the bandwidth that fluctuate, I don't see nothing wrong here Koll. What about the packet loss?
0
Whenever I tab out of the game it goes back up to 60 fps
when I tab into the game again it drops to 20-30
Might be because of the ram or the cpu is limited
So, the internet it's not a problem it seems.
Ok, because the Cpu bottleneck the Gpu.

Would this subscription help
Hi
It’s not necessary to upgrade
Also I see you’re playing MSFS, that game is know to use a lot the CPU
You can try reducing the graphics of the game, that will help
Well the expert has 12 vogtes
Vivres
Vcores
Oh okay
You’re now on the Base tier right?
Also upgrading to that version will make you have to unsubscribe and suscribe again…
No im on expert tier now
Oh okay, I understand
I hope it works better now
Well, will see when its finished downloading
Okay, let us know if it worked or not
I have the same problem with 500/500 fiber. Lel, no idea why I can’t retain a stable connection to the shadow servers
I'm curious what difference you find with MSFS having upgraded your Shadow PC - I have Pro Advanced at the moment (Zenith) but was thinking about Pro Expert (Lightning) for MSFS ✈️
Having some issues with MSFS there are purple textures everywhere like there are missing files a game crashes when entering main menu after flying also I cant enter options
its just empty
Might have to do a complete reinstall
Which sucks because it takes 10 hours
Sounds like it - have you checked GPU drivers?
Have you tried a repair of MSFS?
Sounds like a reinstall needed then unfortunately!
I know - I wanted to install the World Updates last week and to do 64GB took well over 8 hours. Wish you all the best with it!
Thanks will update on performence
Much appreciated - will look forward to it!
How many FPS are you getting?
And do you have addons installed?
So, I'm using a MacBook Pro M1 but I have it connected to an Apple Studio Display, so I am running Shadow at 5K - so with DLSS in Quality Mode, I can get 25 FPS with Ultra settings, but I have to cap at 20 FPS to keep frames stable. Only Terrain LOD and Object LOD is turned down to 100.
No addons - only Fenix A320. Nothing in terms of airports, apart from a freeware EGKK from FlightSim.to.
I play on a Macbook pro from 2015 with intel cpu
im getting around 40 50 fps
on ultra
Is that with Terrain LOD and Object LOD (I think that's what those options are called) at 200 which is default for Ultra?
100
Sounds good - that's with 2K and on the Shadow Pro Expert now?
Yes, you should be able to - sounds like the added CPU cores have helped.
True, but not really much alternative - flight sims are CPU heavy. I just retired P3D for the same reason.
Yeah but 12vCores is still not alot
No, it isn't - especially when the whole package of Pro Expert is older hardware.
I should have all 24 threads
Exactly, that's what I think.
I think we can convice shadow to provide more CPU power for that price especially with the power upgrade which is for 4K
But it is just horrible because of the Limited CPU
Yes, I got a survey from Shadow via email a few days ago and said just that - we need better CPU options for CPU heavy software like MSFS.
We just need more people to complete these serveys
Very true - hopefully that would help them focus on balancing out the package better by improving the CPUs.
Should it matter that your Mac is older? Wouldn't the FPS being reported by Shadow be solely dependent on the Shadow PC?
I guess maybe if there was difference between what Shadow was reporting FPS wise and what was being streamed to your device.
idk
Gonna update my shadow pc now
brb
CPU is consistently at 100%, that could be a sign that CPU is bottlenecking the GPU.
Yes, sounds like it still is - how is the GPU usage?
Have you tried increasing the render scale to push more work on to the GPU?
how
What have you got the antialiasing set to at the moment in MSFS? TAA?
DLSS auto
Try TAA and increase the render scale above 100 - that will push more work on to the GPU.
just put it to 200
Did that change the CPU and GPU usage at all?
That should help a little - you're trying to keep the GPU busy whilst it's waiting for more data from the CPU. Trying to compensate for the slower CPU in a way.
Wish you well with it ✈️
Are the FPS better? Still seems to be CPU limited. Also, did you go for more than 1TB storage? I thought the 1TB was all on 1 drive?
I have an extra 256gb but im not paying for it
idk what happend
30 fps atm
Understood - so the 1TB SSD is the Drive C then.
yes
30 fps maxed out is encouraging. How about when you pan around fast?
Hi, you have stutters or input lag?
@dusk tundra Please see the following tips for solving input lag issues http://botrexford.shdw.info/inputlag.png
Keep in mind it will takes years. Because Shadow it's not Nvidia. So, if they upgrade hardware, they'll do every 3 years more or less.
Cpu performance, it has been a big topic for years, and we managed ( with other users etc.. ) to get us on the Power Upgrade, a more powerful CPU also in terms of clock speed ( What we have now ). As I know, They can't only change the Cpu, because the hardware need to work with good temperatures and have balance on the datacenter, without strong issue, errors, crashes.
So, if it will be an upgrade in the future, it will be a new complete hardware
Then they shoud not Call it power upgrade and say it Can handle 4K
It can.
In Minecraft yes
In Forza Horizon 5 it can and others. Obviously on games that required a high speed Cpu it's hard to obtein with good fps.
Because the choice of hardware is Inadequate
Stutters due to packet loss
Oh okay, I understand… You’re using wired or wireless connection?
