No. When I'm on the bit where it says 'Connect to Shadow PC', it shows I have a controller connected. And when I go in the Shadow PC, there's no pop up saying 'Controller connected as Player 1'

You can go to a page like gamepad-tester(dot)com and test if your gamepad appears and detect the inputs?

I have a Shield TV, I'll get Shadow installed later and see if my controller works. It's an older Xbox One S one but don't see that making much difference, I also have a dualsense if the shield supports that. Are you in Prod or Beta ?
