#Can't log back in to my Shadow VR Quest app

So earlier today I logged out of my Shadow Quest VR app, and when I went to log back in, I couldn't. I get the screen that tells you to go to the link and insert the code, and each time I do afterwards it says my device is now connected but nothing happens and it's not. I've been trying to do this for an hour now and I've tried a dozen times at least by now, I even tried doing it in the Quest browser to see if that would do it and of course it did not. I have logged out and back into the VR app before this and this has not happened. Usually as soon as you connect in the website that screen goes away and the typical shadow panel shows up. I have no idea what's wrong, I've restarted my quest multiple times, even deleted and reinstalled the app it's still itself and I still can't get in. And this is really upsetting for me personally because literally the only thing I use my shadow account for is on my quest. That's the only reason I got it was so I could play Steam VR games because I don't have a high-end PC and I can't afford one. So to say the least I'm pretty upset about it.

(Btw yes I've opened a ticket already, still waiting.)

I don't understand why you're asking me why I logged out, that has absolutely nothing to do with my issue. But if you must know it was an accident if that helps... That's not the point The point is I can't log back in. I have gone to that stupid link so many times and entered the code correctly so many times and been told that my devices connected and it's not. I did it again this morning three times in a row and I cannot get in. My subscription is literally useless until I can access it and yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled the stupid app multiple times as well and nothing will work.

I'm at my wits end here.

# glad sinew It’s strange… Try installing beta version and see if it fixes the issue If not w...

So THANK GOD I finally got it working, and since I'm guessing that you're a mod on the Discord that usually helps people with technical issues, I figured I'd go ahead and tell you both what the problem was and how I fixed it, so that if you ever run across someone else having the issue of not being able to get past the launcher telling you to connect your device, you can tell them immediately to try it.

So basically on the Quest, originally you could not change the time, but I believe recently there was an update and now you can set the time manually, which the other day I did because when I initially got my quest and set it up, somehow I goofed and it's been set at the wrong time ever since. I never bothered resetting it though because it's just not worth the hassle of re-downloading everything. But upon randomly noticing in my settings that I could manually change the time, I went ahead and did that, and put it to my actual correct time. Because who would have thought that would affect Shadow VR in any way right?

But I guess it did, because in the most recent attempt of helping me in my ticket, I was sent a troubleshooting guide and somewhere I noticed the words "have clock set correctly," which reminded me that I changed the time on my headset. So I immediately went, changed the clock time back to automatic, and lo and behold I was able to log on successfully the first go around after doing so. Just so you know, if it does come up again in the future. Because I'll tell you I was about ready to tear my hair out not being able to logically think of why it wasn't working all this time 😭😅

Yeah for sure, I told the tech in my ticket too, so they would know, because unfortunately that info is not in the shadow VR help or support section anywhere for troubleshooting or anything. I only saw it because I was linked in my ticket to the launcher support help section, which isn't really directly related to VR, it's more for logging in on your PC but it just happened to have that little nugget about the clock in there. So I told her to maybe take a note of it and possibly have them add that to the help area of the website.

Because I know that VR is not their forte so to speak, it's Plutosphere in terms of cloud gaming that caters to VR, but they are SOOO ridiculously expensive lol, like seriously...the service is wonderful and tbh, it's better than Shadow in terms of the technical side, I've never had any issues with it like I've had with shadow, but still, at $2 an hour for use...it's just way too much. Not to mention unless you pay $10 a month as well your cloud computer data is erased, so each time you log back on and start it up you have to redownload any games you want to play and all that stuff. So at this point Shadow is my only option for PC VR gaming, which is why I was so desperate to get it working again, because Pluto is just too damn expensive. I mean, I've literally had sessions where I spent nearly 10 hours in VR chat, and trust me once you've used the PC SteamVR version of VRChat, you never EVER want to go back to the Quest version. There's just no comparison graphics wise.
