#Shadow PC overscaled on Mac client?
23 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Will attempt that Mr. Bot Rexford. 😉 I'll report back if this fixes the issue.
So here's something interesting after having Shadow off for 10 minutes. The session started all black again, but after restarting streaming you can see a sliver of blue on the sides of the which is the Windows 10 background. If I press on Start it brings up the Start menu (white on the left) and on the right a tiny sliver of white which is the notification icon.
Here's the screenshot of Shadow's Quick Menu
Here's a screenshot of my speedtest
More updates! So apparently after reducing the data usage on my Apple TV it started working randomly. iPad without any changes works as well.
Hi, support answered you or not yet?
Hi Azmiko. Sorry for the tardiness of this message. They have responded to me @ 3:04 PST. I was advised to use Display Safe Mode, which I have done previously but forgot to mention, and sadly did not work. Replying to the email as well.
Oh okay, I understand
Reply to the email saying than it didn’t work, they will respond you with another solution
And don’t worry for the tardiness of the message
There's always another method to reset the Virtual machine
Since I got this exact problem last month
Reset the virtual machine as in the resolution?
I have tried to reset the settings, but no success. 😦
Now am getting Shadow on my Mac starting with 0fps. Heheh
The reset, I mean full reset the Virtual machine
You can reset your shadow via https://eu.shadow.tech/account/, on the Shadow PC tab > "Manage my subscription" Note: This doesn't clear additional storage and your Shadow PC should be shutdown before resetting.
Oh, already did that. Sadly didn't work. That is where the first picture came from.
O..
Oops. My bad. I was just reading through. I didn't mean to chat here.
Also what is your resolution
My MacBook is M2, 2560x1600 or 2880x1800 (according to what Shadow detected)
Aspect ratio is 16:10
Now that you mention resolution, I will admit I was changing the resolution to the smallest I could see without glasses. I use an iMac 2021 (M1). I never had this issue before. Even after changing the resolution back to the default the iMac suggests (2240x1260) and restarting it does not help.
Edit: Would like to add that I never had this sort of scaling issue since before this Mac update. I think this problem is more common since the removal of "Automatically detect display" removed from Mac client, but not from iOS, and TVOS
