I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada and am currently subscribed to the US Service through an address I have access to in Seattle. I see that the Canadian service is up and running now and would like to move to that to save money (the FX makes it more than CAD). I am concerned that I'll get routed to a Canadian Data Center on the east coast and performance will suffer. Any thoughts?

Im in Vancouver as well, you get put in the portland DC, but your shadow is required to have a Canadian IP. So what happens is that shadow has a crazy black magic interwebs software//protocol that gives my shadow a montreal DC IP address but my shadow is actually in portland DC and all traffic goes through portland (i confirmed this with support).

You can verify portland DC placement by seeing that your ping is low, and by contacting support.

If you are put into the wrong DC somehow just contact support then they will ask you to do their shadow speed tests and then they will move you to portland DC for free. (Just takes a few days)

also there's no transfer/data transfer, you'll need to cancel your account and open a new one
