#Shadow having BSOD Windows error
38 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
After switching to the beta my Shadow now doesn't even recognize the wheel.
trying to find a fix right now.
I may have found a fix, one sec.
@lethal wave Nevermind.
Basically it doesn't detect it as a wheel anymore, its also says "Driver error" as shown in the screenshot
And yes, in my Shadow Menu I have the wheel forwarded.
@undone cobalt is the wheel forwarded in the quick menu ? Post a screen.
Like I said here, it is forwarded in the Quick Menu.
Yes, I switched to it in spite of Ak’s advice.
I will get you a screenshot in a moment
After about 10 seconds of having the wheel forwarded, this pops up in the corner.
When I click it, it brings me to settings.
“Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”
“Driver error”
Install the logitech hub on your local pc and set up your wheel then do the same on shadow
@undone cobalt
That's good advice, but I already had G Hub setup on both my physical PC and my shadow PC. But I went ahead and reinstalled G Hub anyways for safe measure. I will let you know if this fixes the issue.
@shadow crypt Unfortunately that did not fix the issue.
When I switch back to the Official Version of shadow it recognizes my wheel but if I use my wheel it crashes windows.
What’s your ping to Shadow? If it’s above 32ms it might be why it’s crashing Windows
It ranges anywhere from 20ms to 40ms
stays around 30 for the most part
Might be why, the moment the ping spikes up above ~30ms it runs the risk of a BSOD

Get VirtualHere -- VirtualHere works to share a single USB device (without paying, get a license for more than one) over your local network.
VirtualHere server on your local machine (you'll have to run it every time you get on Shadow).
VirtualHere client on the Shadow (again, you'll have to run it each time to get on Shadow, running it as an automatic Windows service is a paid feature).
When prompted, VirtualHere will ask you to install Bonjour; do this. It makes life easier by making the VH client find the VH server hub automagically. Do this on both client and server installations when prompted.
Next step is getting Shadow on your local area network (LAN).
You can use Hamachi (Guide) https://documentation.logmein.com/documentation/EN/pdf/Hamachi/LogMeIn_Hamachi_UserGuide.pdf or ZeroTier (Guide) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NcVK11lcS8m2G_0fsqMcXvkcdLWdaU2O4Vc_qyJrnng/edit?usp=sharing
Could try that
