I'm experiencing a lot of lag when I'm on my windows PC but I tried it on my MacBook and it worked just fine? What also doesn't make sense is that I am using ethernet on my PC but Wi-Fi on my MacBook. The type of lag I am seeing is just cutting out so my mouse would teleport where i moved it instead of just going there if that makes sense.

the video is the best way i can explain it. the recording just makes it go black but what i see on my end is the mouse just teleporting

Make sure to deactivate h265 and 4:4:4 options in the launcher's settings.

#

What GPU/CPU are you running?

Try to upgrade gpu driver to latest, reinstall it, it's most likely culprit

#

Reduce shadow bandwidth to minimum too

slow osprey
#

also try changing audio settings in app

#

ive had it cause issues sometimes

jade jackal

i think the issue is my bandwidth is unstable so it could be 23 and then goes down to like 1

slow osprey
#

does it do it when its not in fullscreen?

#

but also if audio is on high try regular. you can also try reseting settings/using beta alpha clients

#

i have an older laptop i7 4500u geforce 750m, and those things have helped me in the past with same issues.

#

if you are referring to the microphone feature

slow osprey
#

in app there is regular or high under audio

jade jackal
#

oh it is regular

#

see i just took this ss like 2 mins ago when i first oepned shadow

#

now it is this

#

latency about the same

slow osprey
#

stutter should show fps drop but have you tried tcp/udp toggle too?

#

there might be a hop/routing issue if tcp/udp toggle fixes it

#

and since wifi works on mac. id say its a local issue with the protocols

#

but just remember most routers assign different ip scheme for lan/wifi. best test would be putting pc on wifi to see it behaves the same

jade jackal
#

my pc doesnt support wifi

jade jackal
slow osprey
#

tcp requires more bandwidth so also you might have to increase that in app

abstract furnace
#

maybe linux could be a better option

slow osprey
#

if no audio on pc, disabling the audio on shadow might be worth trying too

#

to see if its gpu try remoting to your mac from pc seeing if you get the same problem

#

this is a really old pc but it can run services like shadow

#

with no issuethats why im so confused

you can try to change advanced settings decoder/renderer option too
