as i mentioned earlier its beautifully crafted. imagine a whole ui with this.
i would make an inner black/dark border to make the art pop more
the glowing in your first pic seems much better and smoother than the one in game.
Thats cause the contrast is missing
@stark geyser time out reason was for “wall of text” but I’m having @devout pine check — you should be able to talk now. Sorry about that!
I'll take a look in a little bit
Thanks!
@turbid flower and @fathom island Thanks for the Feedback. I've made some updates to add more contrast and make the glow pop a bit more. I'll try to get this applied in game sometime soon and see how it looks there.
turned off wall of text filter until I can figure out some new good defaults, you'll want to repost the images you previously reposted @stark geyser @ember valve
thanks, Pasta!
did you hand paint those wings? or how did you export?
yes, he did it with a paint brush and easel as well
fuckin' bob ross over here
Sort of. I'm a lazy artist. My degree is in art (computer animation actually), but for stuff like this I save time by using AI to give me something basic, and then just refine it from there. So I cheated a little.
I did some animation for some glow here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0VzSuYgXAM
@fathom island those are super nice. Damnit, now I got to explore that lol
Does anyone know how to take good screenshots on an HDR monitor? My monitor has 1400 nits when HDR is on and screenshots are super washed out. When I turn HDR off the colors are muted. I've tried Snagit and snipping tool, but both get similar results.
From google machine:
Windows Game Bar
Use the shortcut Win+G to open the Windows Game Bar menu and click Capture. This method also allows you to open the Captures folder at the same time.
GeForce Experience
While playing on an HDR monitor, use the shortcut Alt+F1 to save an HDR screenshot in JXR format. GeForce Experience supports HDR screenshot capture for over 1,000 games.
Snipping Tool
The updated Snipping Tool in Windows can help capture colors in HDR mode. HDR stands for high dynamic range, which uses more bits for each pixel's three colors, resulting in more accurate color
Thanks! The Win+G method does pretty good. Only slightly less vibrant that what I see but way better than I was previously getting.
Here is my latest update. Based on previous feedback from @fathom island and @turbid flower , I' worked on making the contrast in the image better overall and enhancing the glow effect for when entering combat so it's more noticeable. Next step is to continue to look into how to add some cool, but subtle glowing animation to further enhance it. Let me know if I'm on the right track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVgBQeXH22s
Simple test of my custom Demon Hunter action bar borders in game and the glowing effect when entering combat.
Looks nice!
The green outerstroke is sick, looking forward to seeing more!
Any updates?
