having an issue with input shaper. it recommends 3hump_ei on the x axis. y axis is fine with an mvz recommendation. Problems started after some bad warping blocked the toolhead and ripped the AB belts off my tap center printed piece. After replacing it I end up with these results. Even went as far as to replace all the printed parts of the tap unit. Don't see any obvious damage on the xy joint, AB motors, AB motor mounts nor belts themself.

With my very limited knowledge of input shaper graphs, it doesnt look too bad? is it that the resonance at above 100hz just gets too bad? or maybe it is the tap linear rails/carriage that are broken because of the incident?

voron 2.4 350 formbot kit. Didnt have issues with this when I first build it

Just finished the cube, so here's the rest

Voron 2.4 formbot kit with tap. 6mm ab belts

350mm

Another detail about the incident, a blob of death was involved. I think it was just fumes, but linear rails of tap was discoloured yellow. Dont think it was heat, cause printed parts looked ok

This one was from before I did input shaper, but after the tap repair.

Loose. Right xy joint toothed idler screw so that it is level with plastic

fixed the right xy joint, no change on the input shaper

After consulting some ai for suggestions, it seems like my top ab belt is going up and down slightly on the pulley of the right xy joint. Maybe a bent screw in there? Should I go ahead and rebuild the whole gantry to see if that works or anything more specific I should focus on first?

I wouldn’t worry about the belt. It could be the open loop belts

#

The cubes look like pa and seam position. The vertical lines are vfa from belts. Install shaketune and run compare belts, input shaper, and create vibrations profile. All at defaults post these graphs please

i had to use COMPARE_BELTS_RESPONSES HZ_PER_SEC=2 to not let my poor CB1 shut down from overload, the other tests are default. During belts comparison I noticed a clicking sound in my left XY joint. My guess is that the problem is there...

sorry about the late response, life got in the way

I don’t like the second peak in x but it does not appear to be affecting the shaper. Your choice mzv or ei

I'll see if I can rebuild the gantry and hopefully spot something. I don't like the clicking noise it made during belt compare test on the left xy joint. Do you want me to post graphs after for your own reference?
