Can you please take some pictures of your xy belt paths
Please
especially, pictures of the rear of the a/b motor mounts
ooohhh he probably did the thing
if it is, it's the 2nd one i've seen today
mine was like that so long it wore a hole in my metal spacer
I think so but we need pics to be sure
Camera wasn’t working but here
Uhh, where did you get your kit and printed parts from?
Can we get a bunch of photos of you machine. Just spam them
It’s an Ldo kit and the parts are a pif functional kit
wait have you turned it on yet and moved the gantry
try unplugging x/y steppers then try to move it by hand
when i had bad motor connections similar happened to me
i tried and it was the same
you can try turning the motors individually by hand
bad motor could cause this also
this screw looks too tight, all screw heads should be flush with with printed part
if any of the screws that go thru an idler are too tight and aren't able to spin freely, that can cause what you're experiencing
these screws appear to be loose
as is this one
Fixed the screws but something I noticed when it happens is that the top belt to the right gets pulled
how have you tensioned the belts?
also, what is this that appears to be wrapped around the z belt?
It’s excess belt
ah, ok
is this a cable going between the z belts? all wires are supposed to be to the right of the z belts
Yeah I need to fix that
yeah, before we continue on with the belt issues
we don't want anything that can foul the belts or impeding proper movement
It’s fixed
ok, that's great, so back to the first question here #1558260317501259906 message
i did this in the documentation while trying to fix this https://docs.vorondesign.com/tuning/secondary_printer_tuning.html#ab-belts
forgot to hit reply
perfect
did you address this screw? #1558260317501259906 message
Yep
nice
with all these small things taken care of, how is the toolhead movement now?
It still is doing it
hmmmm, ok, does that top belt still get caught #1558260317501259906 message ?
btw, i need to step out for a while, sorry
yeah it does
hmmmm, are both belts exactly the same length and have the same amount protruding from the x carriage?
it might also be worth checking the belt tensions once more since we've made some changes
i'll have a think whilst i'm out, see if i figure out anything else it might be
This looks a bit like the y extrusions are too close together at the back. Does the x axis bind at the back in the same way when the belts are loose or even removed?
yeah they do
