#Upgrading a printer with TFT35 to TFT43 screen

Hello guys. I can not find any information online about how to update this. the mainboard is a Manta-M8P 1.1. The original cable for the TFT35 is a 10 pin, the TFT43 takes a 15 pin but there is a connector for it on the board.

When I plug in the new screen it lights up but it is black, no text or anything. Sometimes the printer will not even load klipper. When I plug in the old screen everything is okay.

On my other machine I plugged the TFT50 into where my old TFT43 was and it worked without issue. Has anyone came across this issue before? Any help is appreciated

I presume these names are muddled up, from the post title and messages above it?

To clear things up: I have two printers. One was running the TFT43 and the other the TFT35

I swapped the TFT43 with the TFT50 on my larger machine and now I am trying to swap the TFT35 to the TFT43 (Because the TFT35 is awful)

I think you have solved my problem. I will figure out how to update it, then close this help request. Thank you for your help

Oh boy, I have spent about 5 hours trying to get this to work and I am getting nowhere

Has anyone got a TFT43 running on the Manta M8P 1.1 with the CB1? I flashed it using 3.1.0, followed the instructions on the github and got nowhere

Any help is appriciated

So I am definitely getting somewhere because I have got the TFT35 working with the board. I am definitely running 3.1.0 but I can not find any documentation online that explains what I need to do to get the TFT43 working

I have a vague recollection of needing to change somethign in the boardenv.txt but i am struggling to find a reference for that

I do not understand how it is in the release note but no explanation on what needs to be changed to get it to work

I changed a few things in armbianEnv.txt, I can send that file over too if that helps

I'm afraid I'm going to have to direct you to BTT's server (responses may take a while) as there does not seem to be any coherent documentation for this screen.
