Hi,
I just finished building my first Voron 2.4 (350mm).
It's printing its first prints, but I'm having a belt artifact problem (the ripples are exactly 2mm) and the artifact only appears on the faces parallel to the x-axis.
I imagine the problem is with the XY joints... I don't see any belt friction.
I think I'll take everything apart to find the problem. What do you think I should be looking for?
Thanks

looks like vfas
i'd recommend going thru all the tuning steps
2mm ripple on X axis
any updates? did you resolve the vfas?
Hello, not yet : I disassembled the belts, rechecked the length, disassembled the X-axis, and checked that the tooth idlers and bearings rotated smoothly… I didn't see anything unusual, except that the tooth idlers catch slightly on the screws when I slide them vertically. After reassembling everything, I checked that the X-axis slid smoothly and was perfectly parallel to the base, then checked that the belts were mounted and tensioned, and that the print head didn't move when I moved the axis back and forth. A first print job no longer showed the X-axis artifact… but after 2-3 hours it reappeared. It's slight, but not perfect, and it's visible on glossy plastics. Now I'm going to disassemble it again and follow the entire procedure at https://ellis3dp.com/Print-Tuning-Guide/articles/voron_v2_gantry_squaring.html.
The Voron adventure is worth the effort!
