Voron 2.4 350 First Build

Hey, I have built my first Voron 2.4 (it's a used one that I have rebuilt) But now I have some questions regarding the printer.

Currently the flying gantry wobbles on the front right and the back left. When I try to push it very light it seems the belt is skipping. The gear z box is all tightened up, since I was pleased to check the grub screw by another user.

What should I do and what could it be.

I am new to building a Voron 2.4. Have built some other DIY Printer before, but this is the first Voron

have you tensioned your z belts ?

btw, what's going on here with this screw sticking out? the nut is supposed to be on the bottom, looks like you have left/right idlers transposed

Oh, okay. So I have to rebuild the gantry. This would be also a great opportunity to square up the gantry with the Fysetc Profile Helper I have ordered 😅

Can I still keep the thread open? I’d write again in about two weeks once the part arrives, and then I’d rebuild the entire portal frame and reassemble the flying gantry.

On the left idler the belt is on the lower position and on the right it's on the upper position

for starters, swap the two idlers over so they are correct and then tension all 4 z belts

So I have to swap the left idler to the right and vice versa?

Hey @midnight verge , quick question. I will order some PC panels for other printers. My Voron 2.4 had all of the panels except for the back and the front. For the front I will upgrade to ClickyClack.

Which size does the panels for back and door need to be?

Would appreciate an answer

PS: The wobble is gone. It was the z gearbox, furthermore the tension of the small belt 😅

Thanks! How much tolerance should the panels have? +/-0,1 to 1,0mm or +/-0,1 to 0,5mm?

well, you’ll want them as close to the specified size as possible, 0.1-0.5 should be close enough

Hey, I have reassembled the printer and wanted to try it out. Sadly the filament isn't extruding right. Is there a tip for the Stealthburner screw how many times should I turn it?

QGL is working fine

And do I have to change the z offset for different build plates?

It's not the best looking print, but I have to buy new filament to tune the profile 😅

Or are there any good filament profile for the 2.4 available?

most slicers have decent voron printer profiles and filament profiles that you can use as a starting point
