So I'm trying to get my a4t set up and currently need help with all the pins, I'm not sure of half of them, I did a basic sample from the GitHub for the board but it can't heat up and the voron tap isn't working.

The basic sample config from github should at least let you heat the hotend...

#

You're sure you got the one for the v1.2? Maybe there's still some config for mainboard attached hotend lurking someplace?

It could be if I wired stuff wrong but I kinda doubt it

#

The heater itself is tied to the little green area which I was told I don't need to worry about which wire is here but I'm otherwise nothing is different (also this is a pic from right before I put the heatsink on)

klippy log?

according to the klippy log, your heater pin is still pointing at something on the mainboard

#

⁨```
[extruder]
step_pin = EBBCan: PD0
dir_pin = EBBCan: PD1
enable_pin = !EBBCan: PD2
microsteps = 16
rotation_distance = 22.905740611
gear_ratio = 50:10
nozzle_diameter = 0.400
filament_diameter = 1.750
heater_pin = PA13
max_temp = 350
min_temp = 0
max_extrude_only_distance = 105
max_extrude_cross_section = 2
sensor_type = EPCOS 100K B57560G104F
sensor_pin = EBBCan: PA3
control = pid
pid_kp = 15.520
pid_ki = 0.690
pid_kd = 87.295

#

note the ⁨heater_pin

bold summit
#

Ohhh wait should I try adding EBBcan before it?

#

YEP THAT'S WHATS MISSING

prime shoal
#

lets not just try things at random. is PA13 right ?

#

I guess that's a yes 😛

bold summit
#

Cause I missed it there

prime shoal
#

I just don't have an EBB pinout in front of me right now, so I couldn't quickly tell whether that was an "I left the EBBCan bit off" vs a "I left an entire old setting in someplace", if that makes sense

New issue is that fans don't start up at all

prime shoal
#

that's not good... heatbreak fan? or part fan. (or both)

bold summit
#

Both

prime shoal
#

hmm. no obvious config faults...

#

what fans do you have?

bold summit
#

Delta 2510 fan and berserker 4010 fans

prime shoal
#

delta 2510? in 24V?

bold summit
#

I just check to be sure and they are wired correctly

prime shoal
#

(I feel like most of the deltas I've seen in that form factor are 5v)

bold summit
prime shoal
#

the number of wires isn't the question I'm asking though

#

can you show me the face plate of that fan?

bold summit
#

It's 5v yeah

prime shoal
#

well not any more, its ash

#

you plugged a 5 volt fan into a 24 volt port

bold summit
#

Well fuck

#

Let's hope I have money soon then-

prime shoal
#

at least fans are a pretty low cost item

#

doesn't really explain why the Berserkers aren't running though. I assume they're 24V, right?

bold summit
#

@prime shoal ok so I wanna ask for when I do fix it, should I use the RGB port on the board?

#

Cause that's like, the only 5v area

prime shoal
#

You probably could make the rgb header work, in a 3 wire config I'll have to take a look at that later. Might need an extra diode or something
