Weve been using the M8P Motherboard with CB1 and Canbus Wiring System with EEB2209. Weve been following the build guide and since yesterday were setting up the software. We setup the main MCU canbus mainbus adapter. It shows up on the scan with Klipper.

biqu@VORON-PRINTER:~$ python3 ~/Katapult/scripts/flashtool.py -i can0 -q

We unfortunately also dont have a multimeter to verify that the resistors are correctly and displaying the correct values. Yet we tripple checked and they should be correct. the wires also arent the issue. Were also kinda running out of options. We tried the canbus.esoterical guide all of the thingies that are relevant to our knowledge and yet we cant find it.

(in helping making the printer)
The ebb sb2209 has a constant green light and a slow blinking red Light after I had flashed katapult on it via usb

#

yeeeeees

#

its very unfortunate ive got it in september and then built it to the tap head and then decided to wait for minecat to come here. weve spend the last 3 days putting in the electronics and finally thought we were close to finishing when this issue started to arrise

rapid bobcat
#

hmm appears like maybe we should just reset all and retry

Yee

dusky coyote
soft birch
#

Because that's the one I have

#
rapid bobcat
#

He got those from youtube

dusky coyote
#

None of those links work

soft birch
#

I fixed it

dusky coyote
#

Right well you either need to try it again or at least start posting some pictures and more info.

rapid bobcat
#

What kind of info or pics could be relevant?

#

Wiring?

dusky coyote
#

Picture of the mainboard (MP8) pictured of the EBB board, the wiring

rapid bobcat
#

Ok

#

Ill do that

#

Gimme a moment

dusky coyote
#

ideally screenshots of the setting used from your actual printer.

rapid bobcat
#

Ok. gimme a moment

#

here. its a lil hard to take pics of the toolhead rn. do those suffice?

dusky coyote
#

Where is the 24v and GND wires for the CAN cable plugged in?

soft birch
#

its plugged into the powersupply

dusky coyote
#

Is it those to wires with no connector on?

rapid bobcat
dusky coyote
#

Can this be changed to have connectors on? Just so we know we get a good connection and it's safer.

soft birch
#

yea il do that

dusky coyote
#

The wiring (apart from above) looks good. So I now need to see the setting currently in the firmware on the boards.

soft birch
#

ok

rapid bobcat
#

Ill turn it on

soft birch
#

this is the Katapult config for the toolhead

#

this is the klipper config for the M8P

dusky coyote
#

Are these the actual setting on the boards in @rapid bobcat printer or a screenshot from elsewhere?

soft birch
#

thats the actual settings

dusky coyote
#

And which EBB board is it specifically?

#

And is the printer powered on now and can I get a picture of it.

#

The toolhead board that is

#

The toolhead board will have a version number too, what does your have?

soft birch
#

i can check. altho will take some time becase its hidden under some stuff

rapid bobcat
#

Ill make some more images rn

#

hes rn opening the toolhead to make an closer image

soft birch
#

i dont see a version number on the EBB SB2209 rp2040

#

but on the EBB SB0000 CAN it says version 1.0

dusky coyote
#

Well it should have one and that could make the differance in the correct settings.

#

Put the printer the correct way up and look on the front edge of the toolhead pcb

rapid bobcat
#

Ok

dusky coyote
#

OK on the other side a small sticker

#

near the front edge

soft birch
#

It says qc pass 08

dusky coyote
#

a white sticker.

soft birch
#

Oh ok

dusky coyote
#

I'm looking at mine right now

#

Any luck?

soft birch
dusky coyote
#

OK so only thing I can think of, is that BTT started using a different setting in the katapult setting, MAYBE this is the issue but I don't think so as most people are good with the Eso's guide.

#

Once you have it back together, and powered on. What LEDs are on, on the toolboard.

soft birch
#

The green led is on constantly

#

And a slow Flash red led

dusky coyote
#

OK, double tap the reset button

soft birch
#

I tried that multiple times and it didn't work

dusky coyote
#

Does the command show anything now? ```python3 ~/katapult/scripts/flashtool.py -i can0 -q

soft birch
#

No

#

It only shows the klipper

dusky coyote
#

OK then let try changing the katapult setting to what BTT say.

soft birch
#

Ok

dusky coyote
#

And flash it as you did before.

soft birch
dusky coyote
#

yep

soft birch
#

ok i have reflashed it

dusky coyote
#

OK so power off

#

connect CAN cable and power on

soft birch
#

done

dusky coyote
#

Anything different happening?

soft birch
#

IT WORKS NOW

dusky coyote
#

Noice

#

So now do the klipper part as per Eso's guide

soft birch
#

yea

#

thanks for the help!

dusky coyote
#

No worries. Glad it's working now.

rapid bobcat
#

YAY

#

uh sorry im new here how do i label this as solved?
