#saving z offset

You have to save the new offset before do the save_config
You also can’t have an offset below the bed.
Sorry I meant to say I use Z_OFFSET_APPLY_PROBE first, is that not right
Probably not related but I seem to lose z offset as thr print goes along, I can get the first layer pretty nice looking, but the final top surface always looks like the nozzle is too low
You say it doesn’t save it, how do you know it doesn’t?
You don’t lose tye offset, it’s probably over extruded on the top surface.
The nozzle is too close to the bed again after a reset, if I add .16 it goes back to good again
But have you checked the config actually updates or doesn’t update?
Yeah, I just dont get how I can be just off "too high" on the first few layers but not on yhr top layer, is there a final layer flowrate?
Embarassingly, im not 100% sure where to look
Are you using Touch or not? What version Cartographer is it?
upload your printer.cfg
V1.2.3 i updated everything before the last attempt
Doesn’t answer my questions. And that sounds like the old plugin.
Sorry I thought you meant the software version
It’s helpful to know because it sounds like the old plugin but i need the other info.
Right so looks like your config needs a few changes. I'm going give you a link, check you have your config match what’s asked for.
I would also suggest, once you have corrected your config including start print macro, you delete your current calibration from the bottom of your config and calibrate again.
