Hi!

I’d really appreciate any help I can get.

Backstory:
I wired everything up and initially thought all was good. On the very first power-up, the printer immediately blew the thermal fuse and also tripped the main breaker in my apartment. No smoke, no weird smell except from the thermal fuse I think the electronics is fine.

I’ve since bought a multimeter and a non-contact voltage tester so I can approach this more carefully and troubleshoot properly.

I suspect the issue is somewhere in the area shown in the picture. I will not power the printer on again until I’m confident everything is wired correctly. I should also mention that I have no prior electrical background, so I’m trying to be extra cautious.

Can you see anything obviously wrong here?

Are you following a wiring diagram?

I happened to have the Trident manual open and your wiring doesn't match that in the manual.

Yes and no, I also followed this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcQJLGsV3Rc&t=170s at the beginning of the video. This is a 2,4 if it makes any difference. Is the iec inlet supposed to have 2 or 4 cables? 😭
