first question, why do you feel you need to add mods, new toolhead and probe?
btw, micron is not a voron project
second question, have you tried asking on the doomcube discord? that's the home of the micron
Q1) because i want to print insanely fast with insane quality,Q2) its considered a voron spinoff so close enough,Q3) already did but wanted diffrent opinions
i only asked two questions and provided a statement 😜
micron is based on a voron design, but it's not a voron design
Just asking what you can modify, you won't get any useful advice, giving insights of what you're looking for with the modifications will help.
As Mark have mentioned, Micron is not a Voron, so most mods for the Voron won't work.
But if you want speed, you will need more powerfull motors, and eventually a AWD. If you're not already running 48V, you might want to look into that. Then you will be looking in making your system more rigid, so resonance will impact less, I'd look into the mods that support the motor axis on both sides.
So it all depends on where you want to go...
If you haven't mentioned speed, people could suggest a clickclack door which wouldn't make any difference in that regards
the micron is litterly just a scaled down 2.4, every 2.4 mod works on the micron, hence why i put it here in the help forum
no, almost every part has been redesigned, not just scaled down
@jolly beacon, the creator of micron, can comment
not true
almost zero 2.4 mods will work on micron
without them being modified/made specifically for Micron
- stock toolhead on Micron is already a boost in cooling performance of miniSB
- stock Micron already has a built in filter / bed fan setup
- stock Micron also supports more than just klicky...there are beacon/ carto mounts
most of the mods you have listed area already part of stock micron
its been 20 days. Any update for us? Do u need further help?
whats the current state?
nothin much to be honest, i did make a rough outline of my shopping cart with stuff like beacon and better toolheads with some sort of exaustion fan for the fumes
So how do u wish to proceed with your post?
