Hi All,

New to the Voron world, so forgive the n00b question. I'm building an LDO Voron 2.4 kit from 2012, and I'm deviating from the kit somewhat by building an A4T toolhead with a cartographer board rather than using the Stealthburner + klicky. I've got the toolhead all together, and I'm starting to work on the electronics. I've learned that the cartographer board can serve as my Z probe. Does it also replace the need for a z endstop? Can/should I disregard the Z endstop build intructions? Thanks!

No worries.

One more question regarding the XY endstops- I was planning on going with an umbilical cable and ditching the drag chain. I have a nitehawk-36 PCB that has limited GPIOs, and I was going to reuse the x endstop GPIO for one of my two filament sensors in the extruder.

How well does sensorless work?

if u follow the VORON guide for it

Looks like there is a klipper and a kalico path

Best to stay klipper?

if u ask me, go kalico

Awesome. And then I can safely ditch all endstops. Cartographer for Z, and sensorless for x and y
