Tension on belts around z motors are very different

The little belts there at the bottom right and left of the printer have significantly different tensions. The one on the right is so loose you can see it loading and unloading as the motor turns. The one on the left if I put pressure on it I get like 1 to 2mm of play. Very tight.

Which is correct? (I'm assuming the left or the tighter one). What would cause the belt to be so loose?

You want the belt loops to be quite tight. You can add a shim here as you tighten the cam to gain some additional tension.
If tension is very uneven between sides make sure you have the correct 16 tooth pulleys on the motor shafts.

Thanks. I'll check the pulley however I built the LDO kit and all 4 came in the same bag. Errors can occur though. Is it possible I installed parts backwards or incorrectly to result in different tensions? I'll look into the shims after that

I'm not aware of any way to install it wrong resulting in incorrect tension. I have built a few of those z drives and a few times I've definitely needed to add some extra tension in addition to the little lever so I wouldn't be worried about that.
