my cpap fan defaults to being fully on and when i throttle the slider to 100% thats when it gets shut off, kinda like its backwards 0 is full speed and 100 is full stop. so how do i change it so that it defaults to being shut off and functions like a normal part cooling fan

And guessing is based on luck

word give me a sec

The more u provide
The more u go in detail
The better out help will and can be

#

Makes sense, doesn’t it?

torpid jolt
#

first of all its a biqu universal cpap

#

[fan]
pin: PA8
max_power: 0.8
shutdown_speed: 0
cycle_time: 0.005
hardware_pwm: False
kick_start_time: 0.100
off_below: 0.1

#

here are the config settings\

those are the bare MINIMUM of things we need.

Think about a few minutes what could be useful for someone who has no clue about your setup or printer at all

#

You still want a picture of the wiring it’s messy but I can explain it to you

#

I’m using a octopus v1 controller board

#

Hooked up to the PA8 fan pin

#

the wiring seems perfectly fine, im able to get full control but i think i just botched the config

#

and Im really sorry but I'm just not sure what klipp.log is, but if you told me i could prob get it for you @serene ivy

#

let me know if you need anything else and thank you for responding so soon

serene ivy
#

Didnt i say at least 4 pictures?

#

And it would be great if u could use MS paint or whatever to highlight where CPAP is connected

serene ivy
#

And before uploading pictures (plural) please review them first to verify good camera focus as well as lighting

torpid jolt
# serene ivy Cmon man

my fault, just needed a lil sleep is all give me a sec to get the pics and the klippy ready

torpid jolt
serene ivy
torpid jolt
#

so how do i get the actual logs themselves

#

rollover logs?

serene ivy
#

Rollover clears them and lets klippy create a fresh one

#

So its not insane in size

torpid jolt
#

i did the rollover what now

serene ivy
serene ivy
torpid jolt
#

the printer config?

serene ivy
#

The klippy log

torpid jolt
#

where can i download the file

serene ivy
#

There is a big download button below the rollover

#

Its all in my screenshot

#

It literally says „log file“ at the top

torpid jolt
#

what folder does that download to

serene ivy
#

I have no clue about your pc

torpid jolt
#

what would the file be called ill just do a search for it

serene ivy
#

Klippy.log

#

U dont know where your browser saves downloaded files?

torpid jolt
serene ivy
#

Thank you

torpid jolt
#

no problem

serene ivy
#

Before i have a look at it, could u please answer my question above?

torpid jolt
#

about my downloads?

#

i did what the manual said

serene ivy
torpid jolt
#

yeah I used that firmware

serene ivy
# torpid jolt

Why are u using dupont on a jst header?
And the jst i circled in red is not properly crimped

torpid jolt
#

it

#

its all i got

serene ivy
#

Thats how the crimp must look like

torpid jolt
#

my bad

#

my more recent project has better crimps I swear

#

i bought an engineer crimper

serene ivy
torpid jolt
#

im using a vz toolhead and this isn't my voron, but the people in this discord are very active this is my mercury one

serene ivy
#

Meeeh, that’s something u always have to tell people here upfront

#

Its the VORON discord, people expect a VORON

torpid jolt
#

my fault, Ill do better next time i need help

serene ivy
#

The mercury discord also exists, are u aware of that?

#

Im sure they have a help thread as well

torpid jolt
#

yeah but its not nearly as active

#

I'd be very grateful if you did help, plus itd help when i install another one of these cpap fans to my v2

#

so its like your helping me with a voron indirectly

serene ivy
#

the upper part doesnt matter for us as a fan port cant provide enough amps for the CPAP, so it must be hooked up to the PSU, as shown in the manual.

so the lower port gets connected to a free fan port

torpid jolt
#

because its connected to power out of the power supply and it only needs that pin for communication with the board

serene ivy
#

im pretty sure it also needs Voltage for the onboard logic to work

#

u can propably fix it by inverting the pin but thats not the right solution here

torpid jolt
#

yeah i don't have that board with the wago clips

serene ivy
#

but thats what u linked above

torpid jolt
#

i know i have all the other parts

serene ivy
#

then i cant 100% help here , sorry.

i only know how it works with the pcb shown above. there are more components on that PCB than just the WAGOs

torpid jolt
#

i mean it powers up and can be throttled just fine

serene ivy
#

as i said, u can try flipping the logic via inverting the pin, but thats not the correct solution imo

torpid jolt
#

you mean putting a ^ befor the PA8 pin?

#

before*

#

->^PA8

#

just sent biqu a email to try to get the board. do you think there could be anything wrong software wise?

serene ivy
#

thats a pullup

#

! is invert

torpid jolt
#

oh ok

#

omg that worked lmao

#

thats it

serene ivy
#

but as i said now multiple times

#

thats not the correct solution

#

its a workaround

torpid jolt
#

its just a placeholder until the real board gets sent over by the company

#

im not to big a fan of my house being burnt down
