So I want to build a Voron 2.4 300mm and I was wondering if you could substitute the expensive machined aluminum bed with one made of G10? G10 is extremely flat and stiff but it is a thermal insulator so I was thinking of a bed thickness around 4mm. Any help is appreciated!

i don't believe i've seen anyone try this (even outside the world of voron)

it gets used as a print surface a fair bit, though

The thermal insulation seems like it would be a problem on a heated bed. It would be less of a problem if it is rather thin, but then it would instead be less stable.
